About the host
Hosted by Mike Bygrave
I am a keen walker and love nothing better in the evening than a little live entertainment and the odd glass of Doom bar.
I live in the west midlands but get down to the lodge as often as possible (often out of season when although the park facilities are closed the lodge is a great base to potter around the area discovering new villages, coves and other things to do and see)
Why they chose this property
. . . live entertainment and doom bar!
Caravans can feel a little cramped and though this lodge is small it feels more roomy and homely than a caravan and the location in the park is perfect - close enough to the facilities to take full advantage without having cars driving past constantly and continual noise.
I have stopped on the park many times over the years before buying and enjoy Bideford (a quaint little town well worth a wander around), Instow (not well known but some really nice places to eat and enjoy a pint and a sea view), Westward Ho! (a must when you have children with you)
What makes this property unique
The area has many beautiful places to visit (Clovelly, Hartland Point . . .) and a good selection of village pubs offering top quality food .
The site has everything you need from a well stocked shop to a cracking little entertainment complex and lovely pools
Just a short drive from Cornwall to the south and some of Devon's most beautiful beaches and villages to the North this is an ideal spot to explore this part of the UK or just to keep the kids entertained while you chill
Not as big a site as many there really is a family feel to this park
