Retire here after a long day on the beach and watch the horses graze whilst the sun sets behind them. The kitchen overlooks the gardens and has everything needed to cook up a hearty meal for the whole family to enjoy. There’s also a utility room which houses the washer/dryer and freezer. The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic castle, is only 2 miles north, where there is a wide expanse of golden, and often empty sandy beaches. The tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island, can be seen from the beach and is accessible via a causeway twice daily. A further 2 miles up the coastline brings you to Waren Mill, which is steeped in history. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. Budle Bay is a bird sanctuary and at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is home to thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers. The historic market town of Alnwick, with its own castle, offers many facilities, just a short drive inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and a restaurant within the largest treehouse in Europe! Beach 800 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

We had a great stay, the welcome pack was much appreciated as was the welcome pack for our Wheaten terrier. The house is lovely and the upstairs living room is so comfortable and the views from it are great. Would definitely stay again. Thanks again. :)
