Luxury Forest Lodge with Games Room in Idyllic Location - Dog friendly, sleeps 8
Foresters Lodge retains many original features and has been modernised to an exacting standard containing luxury fittings throughout and a good Wi-Fi connection. All of the accommodation, except the twin bedroom, is on the ground floor so Foresters Lodge is ideal for those not wanting to be challenged by stairs on holiday. The soft pallet of colours reflect the natural surroundings and together with the light and airy space make you instantly relax and feel at home.
Individually designed, the rooms each have their own character. The relaxed master bedroom invites you, making you want to throw open the french doors onto the garden and let the outside in! The heavenly lilac room encourages you to snuggle up on the window seat with a book and watch the wildlife go by (this room can be configured as a 5ft double or 2 singles). The serene feel of the green room and fabulous forest view makes you want to leave the curtains open all night watching the forest activity. Whereas the red room upstairs feels like you have just stepped into a ‘gingerbread house’ – great fun for the children with the added attraction of stargazing through the skylight!
The Foresters Lodge has a large resident herd of deer that pass by the cottage at dawn and dusk. The conservatory is the perfect place to relax with a cuppa, or a little glass of something, while wildlife spotting – whatever the weather!
The lounge is cool in summer with its' high vaulted ceiling and cosy in winter around the log burner – especially welcome after a nice long walk in the forest on a winter's day.
Dining is made easy with a breakfast bar seating 4 overlooking the forest and a dining table for 8. Lots of space for a relaxed evening get together or roast lunch on Sunday.
Don’t forget the fabulous family bathroom with drencher shower, twin basins and supersized Jacuzzi bath – space for 2! The perfect place to scrub up after a muddy walk or relax tired muscles after a busy day of forest pursuits!
Foresters Lodge is the ideal place to get away from it all, have fun with family and friends and discover more about the magical New Forest!

We had a wonderful stay in the new forest, the property was perfect, comfy, well equipped, games room was brilliant, and best of all ponies and deer coming past every day. Lovely walk through the woods to a pub from the door
A beautiful location surrounded by forest with deer occasionally passing by. Remote, but also not far from the end of the M27 - useful for days trips. The Lodge is as pretty as the photos, and the well-equipped games room is a real bonus for teenagers (especially) and adults.
What can I say our family Holiday had something for everyone.
There were three generations from teenagers and up to celebrating an 80th birthday there.
A well equipped kitchen, clean spacious Home from home Holiday in a perfect location, games room created even more fun.
Thank you to Sheena, For being there with Advice when needed.
Excellent location. House felts homely and had everything you need for a week away. A home from home. Teens loved the games room. We could deer from our bedroom windows. What a lovely setting. Cycling and walking trails on your doorstep.

Great, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I see deer, or ponies, most times I'm at the cottage, they are so beautiful to watch.
This is a lovely cottage in a great location - only a few minutes from the motorway, but feels really remote and hidden away in the forest. Very well equipped kitchen and games room, comfy beds and nice garden with barbecue. Although it's cosy, it's bigger than it looks in the photos. Gate from the garden opens directly into the forest, we saw horses and deer. Also well equipped for kids, with a highchair and travel cot, plus kids' books, puzzles, games etc.
A beautiful property in the heart of the New Forest. You really are in the middle of the forest - we were fortunate enough to have deer and ponies wandering past the kitchen window. House is very well equipped and the kids loved the games room. WiFi was a bit intermittent but that's what you get for such a rural location. Would love to visit again.

Glad you all enjoyed it. The Wifi is slow but we try to get the best available - there is is talk of fibre coming soon.
Had a really relaxing short stay at the Lodge. The property and setting was even better that described on the site. The property was very clean and the facilities were good. I didn’t use the games room but those who did said it had everything they needed. Lovely welcoming gifts and wonderful views from the conservatory , kitchen and bedrooms. No need for the TV as just sitting in conservatory and watching the wildlife was enough. The dogs were in their element and loved the walks straight from the door step, a very dog friendly property, they would definitely give this 5 stars.

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed it, the wildlife viewing from the conservatory is very special, as you say.
Everything about this property is amazing, location is fantastic and the deer were behind the house when we were unpacking.
Very clean and will definitely be going back. The games room also kept us well entertained and sitting in the garden looking at the stars is mind blowing when you have no light pollution.
Really sweet cottage, roomier than I thought. Perfect for us who like a bit of space. We enjoyed all the different rooms depending on the weather and time of day and sat out at the back quite a bit. It was lovely and quiet though a few cars and trucks head up the very pot holed road right next to the house to go to the hotel at the top though it is pretty run down. The house is very nicely decorated and fitted out. There wasn't anything we could not find and it was all good quality. Comfortable beds, great shower strength, hair dryer and bath. Loved the nespresso and milk frother. one level floorplan except for kids room upstairs made it easy to negotiate. Top location, wonderful to enjoy the forest, ponies, squirrels at your back door and all the smells and sounds. The location in the forest was great too, very close to great pubs and sights. Would defintitely revisit.
very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a lovely tranquil setting with wonderful woodland walks right on the doorstep. Perfect place to recharge the batteries.
We stayed at The Lodge over new year 21/22 and it was great - 4 adults and 3 kids aged 3, 6 and 10 - the house is really well equipped, cosy and clean - the games room was a great plus. It’s in a great location for walks and exploring the forest and Sheena was super helpful - would totally recommend it.
The property was clean and comfortable and the location lovely for the children and the dog with the forest literally surrounding us. We saw deer, ponies, donkeys, cattle and pigs! in the forest and lanes nearby. Lovely walks and good food served in the pubs. Added attraction for adults and children was the games room. Nearby attraction was Paultons Park great for the children aged 5, 7 and 10.

Glad you enjoyed it and saw the pigs, they always look so happy to be out grabbing all the acorns in the Autumn!
The Lodge was so peaceful and we got to see ponies, deer, and cows wander by every day, as well as owls hooting by night! There are plenty of great trails right from the door and a village shop and pubs nearby. The garden was wonderful for socializing and drinks while the kids played in the games room (which was a huge hit!) The house was well stocked and comfortable. We would love to stay at the Lodge again.
Lovely break away. House was clean and had everything we needed. Games room was a huge bonus. Lots of wildlife seen from the garden and lots of lovely walks on our doorstep. Would highly recommend and would visit again.
