Gorran Haven features a small sandy beach behind a classic sea wall that connects to the wider Great Perhaver beach at low tide, making it a popular family beach. The National Trust owns much of the shoreline in this region, which is easily accessible from the South West Coast Path.

Location was fantastic, sea views from the property and loved the cute garden at the front. We were left a lovely welcome bottle of fizz and dog treats which was a lovely touch. The only down sides where the property did smell a bit damp and some of the furniture was a bit past its best. So it might not be a great place to stay in the winter months. Also a slight admin issue in that we didn’t receive a check in email. When booking there was a notification to say we would be given the check in email closer to the date of travel with (I assume) the access details for the lock box, but this never arrived. We rang the vrbo number but as it was a Sunday so didn’t get a reply, I messaged the host on the help page but no response. Turns out the lock box wasn’t actually locked so we could still get in, but it wasn’t the smoothest check in. That being said it’s a great little village and a lovely spot for a few days of relaxation.
