A unique beautifully renovated home of two Pembrokeshire stone barns, in part dating back to the early 18th century, linked together by a central living room which has floor to ceiling glass walls on two sides and a turf roof. Amazing location, with beautiful sunsets, overlooking and with access to private nature reserve containing two small lakes and a meadow with large pond, both surrounded by beautiful countryside. Guests often return, with repeat bookings typical. The property is accessed down a gated private tree lined drive-way of roughly a quarter mile. Set in approximately seven acres of fenced, landscaped and wooded gardens and nature reserve, there is plenty of room for children to play.
Lower Lochturffin has its own unique and specially compiled 100 page pictorial user guide book, featuring the history and meaning of the name of the cottage, the amenities the cottage has to offer and a personal review by the family owners of the many nearby local beaches, places to eat, picnic sites, gardens to visit and places for guests to visit on their way home.
Whilst the cottage is fenced off from the nature reserve, lakes and pond, the lakes and pond each being about 100 yards from the cottage, guests should always supervise their children when they are in the nature reserve or meadow, particularly where the children are young or unable to swim. In season, spot butterflies in the wildflower meadow. Use our tree guide to identify the more than 120 native trees in the woodland, garden and meadow.
Lower Lochturffin is a stylishly furnished and equipped quality holiday cottage with extremely high standards throughout. There’s even a bean-to-cup coffee machine! Eat out on the patio, with its sun loungers and barbecue, with views to the nature reserve, or have a picnic in the meadow or at some of the other picnic spots suggested in the user guide. We have a picnic backpack for your use. Under floor central heating in every room with its’ own thermostatic control, and an oil burning stove in the living room makes this beautiful home extremely comfortable and warm all year.

What a fantastic house.
What a fantastic house. Nicely tucked away. Large and spacious with top quality furnishings and all you need for a relaxing holiday. Dog friendly and a large enclosed garden. The local beaches were excellent and an abundance of great pubs and restaurants. Our week flew by. This is by far the best holiday accommodation we have ever had and we have had lots.
