The apartment is located on a QUIET RESIDENTIAL STREET in the heart of Falmouth, with the added bonus that everything you need is just a SHORT WALK AWAY.
Around 300m walk away is the lovely Working Boat pub right on the waters edge where you can enjoy food and a drink whilst enjoying views over the estuary.
The harbourside is just 5 minutes walk and there you`ll find a lovely selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Boathouse Pub and Restaurant is a particular favourite with its sea views, award-winning food and speciality ales. For brunch, the Good Vibes Cafe is just a ten minute stroll and serves up a brilliant selection of pastries, coffee and larger plates. The live music in Falmouth is great to boot; enjoy a night at The Chintz around the corner or head to one of the many local pubs.
Falmouth has two beaches, GYLLYNGVASE BEACH and SWANPOOL BEACH, both of which are around a 30 minute walk or a 10 minute drive. Both offer perfect conditions for swimming or surfing and it`s lifeguarded too. The Pendennis Castle is a must-see on your stay, you can pick up a track from the house and walk all the way there. You`ll be rewarded by stunning views of the Cornish coastline.
Falmouth has a great community spirit and hosts many wonderful events and festivals throughout the year, both on and off the water, from the Spring Festival, Falmouth Week yachting regatta, world famous Sea Shanty Festival and historic events at Pendennis Castle, through to the Autumn Oyster Festival.
Christmas is also great time to visit Falmouth with numerous exciting events taking place over the entire festive period from Christmas to New Year. We have Nadelik, a special Cornish Christmas event held at the historic Pendennis Castle, the Santa Fun Run, the Christmas Carol Concert and Falmouth Live Nativity!
The apartment is located in the HEART OF FALMOUTH so you`ll rarely need to get in the car. If you are not travelling by car, the house is easily accessible via public transport with trains operated by Great Western Railway running from London Paddington directly into Falmouth. There are also lots of buses operating if you would like to visit the surrounding areas.
There is a timetable of the ferries that leave from The Prince of Wales Pier at the bottom of the High Street. Going over to St Mawes by ferry is a really great day trip. This visitor information centre is also found on this pier. Other ferry destinations include Flushing, Truro and the Helford River.
Alternatively it is easy to drive from here to nearby beaches or spots from which to start some nice coastal walks. There are multiple guide books on the local area in the house to help you decide what you would like to see and do.
On the street behind the apartment is a corner shop, and the Working Boat Pub at the foot of the hill is perched right on the waters edge and offers lovely food and even more amazing views!
