Images are representative and may not be the specific accommodation assigned on booking.. Mortonhall, awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation, offers the best of both worlds set within Edinburgh’s city boundary yet nestled in a private and secluded 200-acre country estate. In a sheltered position with southerly views to the Pentland Hills, it lies just four miles from the city centre and is easily accessible via major routes, with excellent bus links running until late evening.

Within the park, the Arboretum features specimen trees from around the world and provides peaceful, secluded walks. Guests can also enjoy warm Scottish hospitality at the Stable Bar and restaurant, complete with a sunny courtyard, a wide selection of Scottish beers and fine malt whiskies, and traditional Scottish fare.

Beyond the park, Edinburgh Scotland’s capital, UNESCO World Heritage Site and renowned Festival City offers a rich blend of history, culture and entertainment. Its compact, hilly landscape is home to the medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town, crowned by Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny. At the foot of the Royal Mile lies the Palace of Holyroodhouse, alongside the modern Scottish Parliament and the dramatic peak of Arthur’s Seat, while Calton Hill provides some of the city’s most iconic views.

Famed for its world-class events, Edinburgh hosts the Edinburgh Festival, Fringe, Book and Film Festivals, the Royal Military Tattoo and Hogmanay celebrations, ensuring there is always something to experience throughout the year.

Combining tranquil countryside with one of the world’s most vibrant cities, Mortonhall is perfectly placed for an unforgettable stay.. Great stay

The property had everything we could have needed for a stay except that there was no free wifi in the rental. That would be appreciated for travellers.

We stated In a static home - 3-6th Jan - it was very quiet.

We stated In a static home - 3-6th Jan - it was very quiet. I am very fussy but it was lovely, clean, cosy & warm, complete with everything you need while staying there. Two beds were abit tight for adults, but it was fine for the weekend.

Very nice accommodation and site.

The accommodation was spotless, comfortable and supplies left. The staff were friendly. Nice surroundings. Restaurant was small and couldn’t cater for us inside and was too cold outdoors. But looked nice.

Very comfortable accommodation

Lovely unit, with everything thought about, down to the pot scourer. Only thing to mention is that both the toilet seats needs attention as they were very loose.
