Just a short walk from the sought after Georgian town centre of Holt, Hero Cottage is a Grade II listed property with the added benefit of the owner living nearby. This lovely cottage has been stylishly decorated and furnished to provide beautiful accommodation for guests who are looking for somewhere quiet to rest their heads while being close to lots of great places to eat, drink and shop. Boasting two wood burners and two bathrooms, it really does have everything you need for the perfect break.
Holt itself boasts so many great eateries that it would be possible to walk in to town for a meal somewhere different every day and there really is something to suit every budget. You are just spoilt for choice! The high street boasts a range of artisan and boutique shops that are perfect for pottering and the town attracts lots of Christmas shoppers due to its range of unique goods and its pretty Christmas lights display. Venture further however and you can be at the stunning North Norfolk coastline in minutes. Head east or west to find a string of pretty seaside villages and towns with a range of habitats including marshes, quays and sand and shingle beaches. Visit Cromer and the historic pier or Blakeney for a spot of crabbing or a trip to see the seals (seasonal). History buffs will enjoy a trip on North Norfolk railway, a visit to the Blickling Hall Estate and a trip around the Thursford and Muckleburgh collections. Nature lovers will flock to nearby Cley Marsh and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve. And, you can even be in the heart of the Norfolk Broads in just 40 minutes. And then to return to Hero Cottage after a busy day? Well, that may be the biggest treat of all. Beach 3¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
