Traditional North Welsh Slate Miners Cottage
A original slate miners cottage built in the late 1800's . Located in Tanygrisau , just outside of the historic Slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog . It is well positioned just a short walk away from all the shops and amenities the town has to offer with the local pub also just up the road . The narrow gauge steam railway runs past the back garden and can also be seen from the rear bedroom. Close by we have Llechwedd slate caverns, zipwires and mountain biking.

We had a great short stay
It’s a great base to explore from, we loved the walk up to the Dam and a fun steam train ride.
The house has everything you need, my only criticism is that the takeaways in the area are not very good but that just meant we cooked in the cottage and saved some money.
