Everything was perfect. A lovely quiet location with stunning views of the pond. We enjoyed kayaking from the dock as well as the easy access to all of Acadia. Would come back over and over. Thank you.
Wonderful cabin with awesome view. Very comfortable stay and highly recommend to any friends or small family traveling together to experience Acadia Park and Bar Harbor area.
The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen had lots of utensils and it was reasonably close to Arcadia National Park which we visited almost every day we were there. We brought our own life jackets for the kayak, but they were already in the storage box by the pond which was nice. We will be recommending this property to our friends.. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We had a lovely stay at this property. It was secluded, quiet and very comfortable! We had all the kitchen equipment we needed as well as towels, blankets, books- everything was provided! The lake was beautiful and the dock was easy to access. The water was clear and cold 😀. The deck was the perfect place to read a book. We loved it!
Our family absolutely loved staying at this cabin. It was extremely clean and had all the essentials necessary for an "at home" experience. The view from the porch is priceless, and the kayaks made for peaceful paddling on the pond. We especially enjoyed being away from the crowded roads in the larger towns, and access to Acadia National Park was easy to navigate from this home. The home is larger than the pictures portray and sleeping accommodations were more than ample for a family of 4 adults. The cabin has a coffee maker even though it was not mentioned in the amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved the setting of this home, with a view of the pond and mountains. The house was comfortable and clean, and the use of the kayaks was a nice bonus. When visiting Acadia, we usually stay on the quiet side of the island, and this house is a bit farther out of the way than other properties we have rented, but we didn't mind the few extra minutes of driving at all because the view was worth it!
Fantastic property! Close to everything we wanted to do & see but lovely private location. Loved the pond and kayaks. Host easily contacted & super helpful. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Hodgdon Pond is so peaceful and we loved going out in the kayaks and spotting wildlife. The owners were very responsive and pleasant. We will be back!
We stopped in BH on the first leg of our roadtrip. The cabin was nice and pictures were accurate. The beds were comfortable and it was the perfect spot to come back to after a day of exploring. The owners were nice and responsive with any questions we had. In the binder they had put some good tips for sight seeing. We drove out to see the sunrise at Thunder Hole after not being able to get a reservation at Cadillac Mountain. It was gorgeous, I’m so glad they had that listed or we would have missed out on the sunrise completely!
Had a wonderful time at this peaceful quiet waterfront property. Clean cozy and comfortable. Well stocked with everything you’d need. Loved canoeing in the morning and having coffee on the deck.
This cute place was perfect! Clean and comfortable. Sunrise over the sweet lake was delightful. Quiet and private. Nice to be near Acadia NP but away from the chaos. Just what we hoped for on our anniversary trip!
Lovely little camp. Perfect size for four adults, with plenty of room and privacy inside and out. The place was very clean and well appointed (could use bbq bricks for grill, though).
View of the pond and all the pines was great, even saw an eagle.
Made use of the kayaks a few times, and enjoyed the deck and grill.
Nice and quiet area with an easy commute to all the island has to offer.
Thank you for the opportunity to rent your home, we would absolutely rent it again.
We were looking for a place away from the crowds that still allowed us to easily visit Acadia National Park. This was the perfect place. We had one free afternoon where we were able to take the kayaks out on the water. My only regret is that we didn't have one more free day to enjoy our time here a little bit more!
This location was absolutely amazing and even more beautiful than the pictures. It was an absolutely magical time in a perfect honeymoon.Super close to acadia national park!
Fabulous location, close to Acadia but peaceful, with gorgeous views across the lake. Our family had such a great time both inside and out! Hope to come back again soon.
The cottage was exceptional. It had everything we needed and view is beautiful. Owners are very nice and any questions, they answered promptly. We had a great time. Would recommend.
My husband and I loved staying at this property. The cabin was very nicely done. I read in prior reviews that it was well stocked. They were not kidding. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook a meal. There were tons of blankets, sheets, and towels in closets. Detergent and dryer sheets for laundry. There was a nice local IGA market that was handy. It was close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The view from the back deck was beautiful. We didn’t get to use the boats and kayaks provided because we were out exploring and hiking till dark and came back to eat and crash. We would highly recommend this cabin.
For some reason the photos online did not do this cottage justice. It was so lovely. The set up was perfect. Loved the location. We took the canoe out on the pond which was so nice. The cottage was well stocked. Would absolutely come back. Perfect for exploring Acadia but getting away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Google maps doesn’t quite get you there so be on the lookout for the Hogdon Pond sign and follow it to the first right.
