Town: Walcott is a lovely coastal village that sits right in the middle of the Norfolk coastline, with many small and friendly coastal villages nearby; Bacton where the ruins of Bromholm Priory and Bacton Woods can be found, Happisburgh with its impressive lighthouse, and Mundesley with its fine sandy beaches are to name but a few. The name Walcott is derived from the Celtic word Walecote, which means "village by the wood". It is an ideal place for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, bird watching or simply relaxing and enjoying the many views. Walcott is also a great location for exploring the beautiful scenery of the Norfolk coast, as well as the famous Norfolk Broads. Further inland there are plenty of famous National Trust properties to visit, such as Blickling, Felbrigg and Holkham Halls, or why not visit the historic city of Norwich, with its beautiful Norman Cathedral and Castle, and of course spend your money in the many shops, pubs and restaurants on offer.

Suzanne's Beach Hut is certainly quirky! Once you get used to the uneven floor it's a great place to stay. The beach hut is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The beautiful beach is a 5 minute walk away. There is a shop and food shack 1 minute walk away and a chip shop, pub and chinese restaurant in the village. The enclosed garden is a bonus for dogs. The site is lovely and was quiet when we stayed in March.
