Pros and Cons!
We enjoyed our week at the Old Fire Station, great location looking out towards Bute. The village is interesting and although there are some empty shops you can still feel the grandeur of bygone lives. The house is comfortable, clean, but not sparkly clean. The outside furniture was very dirty and I hadn’t come on holiday to start scrubbing it clean, which is what it needed. If it had been wiped down at the end of each holiday let and not allowed to build up, it would have been a lot easier just to give it a quick clean. There was an over whelming musty, damp smell downstairs in the bedrooms. I would also have liked clearer recycling instructions, these hadn’t been updated for a while, such as dates and what can and cannot be recycled. The kitchen bin and good old Henry hoover were in need of a good clean too. My husband and I holiday four to six times a year in the UK in holiday lets so I like to think we know what makes an excellent holiday home. One last thing, it is always very much appreciated if there is some milk in the fridge and maybe some teabags, coffee and biscuits. A little thought that makes a difference but there was absolutely nothing!
Wonderful property that is in the heart of the village with walking trails on the doorstep. Comfortable facilities and a very nice outside space to watch the pontoon seeing the RLNI practicing and the boats coming in and out,
