WELCOME TO THE PAPAKEA BEACH RESORT UNIT C106, ADJACENT TO NORTH KA'ANAPALI BEACH!
As of July 1, 2025 Papakea resort will no longer have $25 per day resort fee!

Kick off your shoes and get ready to relax! Papakea is a great location for a friends & family vacation or for a romantic getaway for two. This one bedroom condo has had many recent upgrades, to many to mention but includes new furniture, appliances and a split air conditioning system to make our guests feel even more comfortable than before! Come and enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail out on your lanai, while enjoying the views of the ocean and the well manicured tropical gardens. The fully functional kitchen has recently been upgraded with a beautiful granite counter top, new backsplash and appliances; also comes well equipped with cookware, dishes and utensils. You have the option of dining in; barbecuing poolside, or going to any one of the numerous restaurants nearby. Sleeping arrangements include a new California King size bed in the bedroom and a queen size murphy bed in the living room. Bathroom has a tiled walk-in shower and a spacious vanity area with new granite. Other amenities include a washer and dryer; a split air conditioning system with 2 air handlers (one in the living room and bedroom), along with ceiling fans to help with the air flow on those days of no trade winds. We have also recently installed new low-E sliding glass doors in the living area. The unit also comes provides basic cable, free WiFi and a basic "starter" set of kitchen and bath supplies. If you need a pack N play or other child supplies like a car seat, they can be rented from Maui Baby Rentals.

Papakea Resort is a four story, oceanfront condominium complex that is situated on 12 tropical acres with palm trees, bamboo, freshwater Koi ponds, fragrant tropical flowers and Tiki Torches which illuminate the walkways during the evenings. In addition to the beautiful grounds, Papakea provides the use of 2 swimming pools (Lanai pool is heated), 2 large Jacuzzi's, multiple gas BBQ's located by the pool areas, 2 meticulously groomed putting greens, 2 shuffleboard courts and 3 lighted tennis courts! This property has something for everyone. There is a friendly on-site concierge located in the lobby who can arrange island activities such as luau's, whale watching tours in season, sailing, snorkeling trips, golf, biking down the volcano, and more. Papakea does charge a daily resort fee of $25.00 for your first 10 days, per every 30 day period, this ends July 1, 2025, Papakea Resort will no longer be charging resort fees! There is no additional parking fee, unless you have more than one rental car.

Papakea Beach Resort is centrally located in West Maui between Kaanapali and Kapalua, where you can experience the world-class beaches and golf courses. Visit the historical Lahaina town, which is just a quick 8 minute drive away. We are also within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, shopping, grocery store, and the farmers market. The farmer's market is a great place that provides local fruit and vegetables, as well as organic foods!

Wonderful Visit to Maui

We had a wonderful stay on Maui, it was such a great trip. The Papakea is a lovely resort with gorgeous gardens & ponds and beautiful ocean view's. The condo location is perfect, it’s close to everything, it’s also beautifully decorated and it had everything we needed to keep house during our extended stay including a very comfy bed. The owners are easy to contact and very personable. We just loved it, we’ll be back next year!

Thank you for this amazing stay! I would recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay on Maui. The location is wonderful and the Papakea resort was even better than we thought it would be. The condo itself had everything we needed for an amazing stay. We enjoyed the beach chairs, snorkeling gear, and mini golf equipment. There is a grocery store close by and a food truck park within walking distance. Having a ground floor condo was convenient, and the view of the flowers and koi pond was lovely. Thanks again for a perfect stay!

Resort/Property was in a great location and the little beach was perfect for young kids. The grounds are VERY well maintained and property staff are friendly. The resort itself is very quiet and peaceful. My one gripe is that the parking stalls are very narrow although I've encountered this at other places we've stayed in Maui so I guess it's normal. The unit itself is well equipped. Gary and his family pay great attention to detail. They have taken the time to make sure their unit has everything you need: boogie boards, cooler bags, chairs, snorkel gear, umbrellas, beach towels, ice packs, decent kitchenware and even containers for leftovers and picnics. It really was a home away from home.

Lovely stay at Gary's condo

We had a great time staying at Gary's condo as a family of four (2 adults, 2 teen boys). We loved the location of the condo within the Papakea resort, and everything about this property. The condo was clean and had everything you might need for a relaxing week in West Maui. We especially appreciated the comfy Murphy bed (big enough for our two teen sons to sleep on), the AC in both the bedroom and living room, washer and dryer for our clothes and towels, and beach/golf/boogie board gear in the closet. We also loved the close proximity to grocery store, restaurants, food trucks, and cafes that we could walk to. The only thing that could improve this rental would be some additional towel hooks for wet beach and bath towels (either indoors or on the patio). We would recommend this condo to our friends, and would stay here again. Thank you Gary and family!

Condo was great and location was perfect. Dual zone AC was amazing! Not totally equipped for families with young children. The furniture was kind of bulky for the space and the TV in the living room didn't work except for one streaming service. The regular cable didn't even work. Other than that communication with the owner was great! I wouldn't recommend this unit for families with young kids' under the age of 8.

Lovely condo on ground floor

Great one bedroom condo with full kitchen. Kitchen was well stocked with spices/oils and all the pots/pans/utensils and storage containers you could need. My favorite part of the condo was that it was on the ground floor with a nice view of the well maintained pond. We loved searching for the frogs at night and sitting on the patio for coffee and drinks. The property was simple but well maintained. My kids were happy meeting friends at the pool. The sandy portion of the beach at the condo isn’t very deep but good for a somewhat ankle wetting walk. Beds were comfortable and so much the temperature controls. Condo was steps from an ABC store and a short walk to food trucks and shops. We’d be happy to come back. Thank you for renting to us!

This place is beyond amazing. The location is GREAT, the condo itself is GREAT. I just cannot say enough good about this place. The condo is totally remodeled. It has a great bedroom, a newly tiled bathroom and the kitchen area with new granite countertops is open to a living area with a new sofa and loveseat set and which has a very large sliding glass doors that open to the lanai which has a lovely table and chair set to sit on and drink your morning coffee. I would recommend this unit in a heart beat. The owner was amazing to deal with. Between having someone so great to deal with and then going to the unit and seeing how nice it is and what an amazing location it is in, I would recommend this place to anyone that asks. I am already planning our trip for next year and will definitely ask about this condo. My husband is a wheelchair user and being on the first floor was the best! This is not an ADA approved space, but other than the bathroom not really being accessible, this unit was perfect for him!!

Summer 2024 Maui

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mariegard’s condo at Papakea! It has been renovated very well and has a beautiful kitchen, great appliances, and comfortable furniture. It was very clean when we arrived. One small issue we had was the sliding glass door wouldn’t lock. I let the owner know and they are going to get it fixed as soon as possible. One other small issue we found is that there is a small gap in one of the window screens in the master bedroom. A small gecko got through this gap and into the room but was not a big deal. Papakea is an awesome resort with beautiful grounds and great amenities. We would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend staying here!

Welcome to our Condo! We hope our condo feels like home. Here is a brief history. We purchased it in 2017 and it was in abysmal condition. It appeared to have been neglected for the previous 10 years. We decided to forgo time in the ocean and Spend our time renovating. We hope you like the results.

We love Maui, especially Kaanapali Beach and encourage you to start your day at the time you normally awake at home. We live in Montana and get up around 5:00-6:00 AM and take a quick run or stroll along the beach. Please find some goodies in the basket to protect you from the elements or help you clean up!

Maui is a great place to start new adventures with family or friends. We love to snorkel Molokini or Honolua Bay to the North. We also like to hike down to the Nakalele Blowhole to the North. If you have never been to Upcountry in Maui, the town of Makwao is known for agriculture and ranch land and is on the way to the top of Mt. Haleakala; that is a fun trip. Our favorite beach is Napili which is just to the north but we also very much enjoy Kaanapali Beach about a 5-minute walk to the South. Relaxing on the lanai is a winner and we will soon have a new door to make it easier!

You can find boogie boards, beach chairs, a beach umbrella and cooler in the closet for your use. Please wash all the sand off at a public shower (there is one just toward the beach from one of our swimming pools and almost all beaches have a public shower) before coming into the condo. We have been renovating the condo with new furniture, mattresses, TVs, trim, and paint but have been unable to make any changes in the plumbing and a very small amount of sand will stop water from draining.

To ensure a comfortable and responsible environment for all guests, Papakea requires that the primary guest making the reservation and checking into the property be at least 25 years of age.
