Welcome to V&B’s Hygge

We chose the name V&B's Hygge because it perfectly captures the feeling we hope you experience here - warmth, comfort, and that sense of complete contentment that comes from slowing down and simply being.

Our cosy Lake District home looks out over the ever-changing beauty of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. Whether you’re curled up on the new sofa with a morning coffee, or sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine in the evening (weather permitting!), the view is always there - calm, grounding, and quietly spectacular.

I’ve been visiting the Lakes all my life, and one thing I’ve learned is that you usually have to leave your accommodation to properly enjoy the water. That’s what makes this place so special to us. Here, you don’t have to go anywhere. The lake becomes part of your day - from soft morning light shimmering on the water to golden sunsets settling over the fells.

We’ve created V&B Hygge to be somewhere you can truly switch off. A place to breathe deeply, relax fully, and feel completely at home.

We hope you love it as much as we do.
