We can organise wine tours, arrange hire bikes or share our recommendations for dog and children friendly places to eat. Nothing is too much trouble, so always ask.

Rye is a pretty medieval town with cobbled streets and the famous Mermaid Inn. While you can enjoy browsing the many independent shops and cafe, you are only a short drive away from the larger towns of Hastings and Ashford. London by train is 1.5 hours and similar time if wishing to visit Brighton. You are spoilt for choices with fantastic beaches close by, Camber sands only 3 miles from the cottage. Two nature reserves close by, Rye Harbour or Hastings Country park. Lots to do whatever the weather.

The cottage is decorated with warm, muted tones and furnished with a contemporary feel. There is a cosy lounge and separate dining room both have working wood -burners to add to the ambience. There is a modern ground floor shower room and a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher. There is a small enclosed courtyard perfect for your morning coffee or evening tipple. The front bedroom is a generous size and is set up as a 'super king' but can be configured as a twin room, so please let us know when you have booked if you would like this set up. The back bedroom has a luxury ensuite bathroom with roll-top bath. The cottage is a great base for exploring Rye and the surrounding area and is perfectly located to enjoy the many pubs, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance of the property. Camber sands beach is only 3 miles away and the towns of Hastings and Ashford a short 30 minute drive.
