Our two-bedroom apartment is located off the historic courtyard at our 17th century Georgian town house. The entrance is down the long-forgotten cobbled Post Office Lane, in the centre of Tavistock, Devon.
The beautiful fabric of the original “Stables & Scullery”, on the original street level of Tavistock has been preserved, while guests can relax in modern comforts, luxury and charm; a presence of the original Courtyard, Stables and Scullery remains.
The uniqueness of our accommodation is there for all to see as, the two bedrooms have been lovingly converted from a courtyard, stables and scullery into luxury appointed accommodation spaces, decorated and furnished in an eccentric and bohemian style.
Each bedroom contains a comfortable double bed with White Company bedding, console table, two reading chairs, a radio and wifi, and has been designed to ensure that no detail has been missed. There is a 32" smart TV in one of the bedrooms for use with TV apps and your own TV stick.
Within the internal courtyard, there is a small practical kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster and hot plate to prepare your own breakfast from the pantry foods supplied or to plate up your local takeaway suppers. There is a well appointed shower room, with fluffy towels and Neal’s Yard toiletries in the internal courtyard.

Comforting and slightly eccentric.
From the moment we arrived the place was warm and welcoming. As this was our second visit we looked forward to the decoration and the details that the owners had put into it.

Different but was ok for a night away.
Lovely shower with some nice products, good location, cosy but a little too rustic for are likeing, one bedroom seems to suffering with a damp, bedding great quality but mattress not great.
