About the host
Your host
This has been our holiday home for nearly two decades. We know the area well, the people who live here and what’s available. We’ve never tired of Milford on Sea, there are a lot of activities locally to choose from depending on your age, fitness and interests. Or you can just chill out in the multiple bars, pubs, restaurants and coffee shops in and around the village. We hope you enjoy our house. Our grandchildren are now all grown up, but they still remember chasing the sunset after dinner.
Why they chose this property
Keyhaven is a great destination for nature lovers, boating and paddle boarding; Bournemouth has miles and miles of sandy beaches; The New Forest is perfect for cyclists and walkers. The scenery is spectacular with the New Forest ponies roaming wild everywhere. Milford, with sea temperatures much warmer than Cornwall, was voted 5th in The Times & Sunday Times Best UK Beaches Guide 2025 with the Isle of Wight and the Needles in the background. Sporting activities along the coastline include windsurfing, hang gliding, fishing and sailing. In fact, if it requires wind propulsion then you’ll find it available somewhere.
What makes this property unique
Apart from being a fully equipped, comfortable home our back gate is an ideal way to access the beach. Follow the path and 100 steps will take you to the sea. Our grandchildren used to call this their 'secret path'. Or within 4 minutes you're in the village with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops.
