About this property

Abbeyview

Introducing Abbeyview- a comfortable 3 bedroom barn conversion on the outskirts of Whitby town. Set in the glorious North Yorkshire countryside, Abbeyview offers a peaceful stay for a family of 6 and perfect for easily accessing the coastal footpath.

The barn boasts a ground floor double bedroom with en-suite, featuring shower, WC and bath (which can be accessed from the lounge by a lockable door). Abbeyview has a large open plan living room, dining area and kitchen with breakfast bar. All the creature comforts from home are available with microwave, oven, stove top, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and fridge. Flat screen TV, DVD player with a selection of disks and log burner all make for a cosey family night in.

Abbeyview is stacked with character and quirky charm. A small den with sofas and armchair provides views over the rolling fields and hedgerows. The enclosed patio is a sun trap for soaking up the North Yorkshire sunshine, and guests can alfresco dine on the picnic table or outside lounge furniture.

Tucked away on the second floor of Abbeyview is another compact double and twin room. A second family bathroom includes shower, WC and heated towel rail.

Whitby town centre is only a short drive, or you can walk along the stunning coastal footpath to the harbour at the mouth of the River Esk. There’s plenty to see and do for a historical visit to Whitby Abbey or Captain Cook’s Memorial Museum or enjoy watching the sunset on Sandsend beach.

Abbeyview welcomes one small well-behaved dog, but please keep tiny paws off the furniture.
