Mountainside - a Rustic Cabin with all the Amenities! Sleeps 10 with a Hot Tub

Maximum Occupancy of Adults/Children: 10

Looking for classic mountain charm close to everything in the High Country? Look no further than Mountainside!

The main level of the cabin has living area arranged around the woodstove set into the floor to ceiling brick hearth, and there is a flat panel TV with cable and DVD. The spacious, well-stocked kitchen is open to the dining area, and the dining table will seat 6 comfortably with room for 2 more chairs to pull up, plus two stools at the kitchen island. The master suite on this level has a King bed and private bathroom.

The loft area, overlooking the living area, has a King bed and a half bath.

The lower level of the home has a second living area with TV and Wii, and three more bedrooms. One bedroom has a Queen bed, one bedroom has a Full bed, and the third bedroom has a pair of Twin beds. Also on this level is a full bathroom with a washer and dryer.

Step outside onto the back deck and have a soak in the relaxing hot tub, or enjoy the mountain breezes while sitting on the screened in section of the porch. Kids of all ages will enjoy running off extra energy in the large, mostly flat yard, and in warmer months playing in the creek running through the yard. The whole family will enjoy roasting goodies around the stone firepit.

When it's time to go explore the High Country, you'll be pleased to find that this home is perfectly located at the base of Appalachian Ski Mountain, just 10 minutes to Boone and 5 minutes to Blowing Rock. Mountainside is sure to be your new home away from home!

3 night minimum required during graduation and holiday weekends (Labor day, Memorial day, Independence day, Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, December and May Appalachian graduations).

Christmas 2023
This was the nicest cabin. It is conveniently located between Blowing Rock and Boone. A short drive to whatever you wanted to see. It was very clean and had more dishes and pans than we needed to fix Christmas dinner. I hope to visit again.

Cozy Mountainside Cabin
Several members of our family had the pleasure of staying at the charming Mountainside Cabin near Banner Elk, NC for three nights in December, 2023 while we were celebrating our granddaughter’s graduation from ASU. This is a very well maintained and equipped log house conveniently located near both Banner Elk and Boone. My husband and I were particularly impressed by the huge collection of "This End Up" furniture that so perfectly complemented the rustic charm of the log house. This furniture has not been sold in many years so it was a pleasant surprise to see so many and varied pieces placed in a home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Everyone in our party said their bed was comfortable and although the nights were very chilly, the covers were especially comfortable and warm. We didn’t use the hot tub on the back deck; however, while we were there it was professionally maintained. There is a wood stove in the living room (which, unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to use) and a supply of firewood on the lower porch. In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cozy house and definitely would be very happy to stay here again.

Great Family Vacation
The kitchen was well stocked. The Wi-Fi was great for all 7 of our guests. The hot tub was maintained wonderfully. The A/C worked great. We enjoyed the private location of the cabin which was close to the parkway and to Blowing Rock. The host was great to work with and was quick to respond when we had a question and a minor issue with the grill which was fixed within hours. Great stay and would return.

Coziest, and at the same time so spacious, cabin ever!
This cabin is so charming! The wood and little 'country' touches around the house make is so cozy. Yet, we had 10 people staying here, and we were never bumping into each other. Lots of room in the kitchen, and lots of different areas for everyone to spread out. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The showers were divine. The front porch was where we spent most of our time! Yet, there were so many places you could sit and read, or chat with folks - lots of seating inside (bar in kitchen, living room, and kitchen table) as well as on the back porch, front porch and screened in porch. We had everything we needed - lots of towels, plenty of blankets, lots of handy spices, ziploc bags, various dishes and cooking utensils, there were even two card tables with chairs in one of the closets. It was also wonderful being able to go walk down to the creek. This cabin is only 5 minutes from anything you could want - groceries, shopping, trails, etc. This was my favorite stay in the area so far, and we've been coming to this area since I was a child!! Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin!
