The hilltop hideaway was the perfect spot for our family to hike The Old Rag. The porch and yard and woods surrounding the house were beautiful. The house was clean and organized and the kitchen was well stocked. We would stay here again if visiting in the area.

The absolute nicest, cleanest Vrbo I have ever stayed at! Great communication from the host, the property did not disappoint. It was well stocked with everything needed. And very clear directions for using the property and a terrific folder with area information. Will return.

Hilltop Hideaway is a very charming house out in the middle of beautiful country by itself. We only stayed one night but we were very impressed with how clean the house is.

Quiet Retreat for Our Family

We had an excellent stay at Hilltop Hideaway. The house was spotless, the beds comfortable, and the showers hot. The wrap around porch was the best though- great for quiet mornings shopping coffee, eating dinner at twilight, and looking at the stars in the evening.

Winter getaway

This is a beautiful property and a very well-kept home. We enjoyed coming back here in the evenings after being out all day. Would love to come back and warmer weather to enjoy the deck and yard.

Great getaway!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and comfortable. The deck is fantastic with lots of privacy and surrounding woods. The location was great for hiking in Shenandoah National Park and we visited nearby restaurants, wineries and a distillery. The host was very responsive with questions I had before we arrived and the property was as described.

Wonderful family vacation

It is a great place to stay with children. It was close to Lake Arrowhead where we spent most of our time fishing and canoeing . The owner is a wonderful communicator and answered all of my questions. We will probably return in the future.

Wedding weekend

We were in the area for a wedding at Rixey Manor. The Hideaway was very close to the event location. We were able to rest and relax in between parties at the house and it had everything we needed. I’d loved the ironing board set up - very cute and convenient. Everything was very comfortable and we had a nice stay
