Located in the perfect spot, 7 minute drive to Salve Regina and 20 minutes to Roger Williams University. Directly between Easton's (1st beach) and Sachuest (2nd Beach) Beaches, makes for an enjoyable walk to the water, while stillh minutes from downtown Newport, Cliff Walk, Norman bird sanctuary, Second Beach (Sachuest), Third Beach, and Newport Vineyards. This cozy, but spacious 3-floor cottage boasts 3 comfortable bedrooms - (1 king, 1 full and 2 twins) and two full baths - one on each floor.
Open plan living area, hardwood floors, lovely, bright dining room with French doors leading to a walk-out deck. Fully furnished with all the amenities for cooking.
The basement TV/game room has a large flat-screen TV and games.
The extra-large deck off the dining room is great for alfresco dining and gathering, featuring a BBQ grill, as well as small private yard to relax after a long day at the beaches or to play lawn games.

Other great features to make your stay enjoyable: Wifi, cable, off-street parking, full size washer/dryer in laundry room, bed and bath linens provided, in summer months-window air-conditioned in the upstairs bedrooms and/or fans for continuous air flow, portable air conditioner in the living room and portable air-conditioner in the basement.

Place all dirty dishes in dishwasher Trash MUST be in a Yellow bag *found under the sink* Place the trash can near the chimney on the east side of the house. RECYCLES blue bin
Propane tank for grill on the deck is turned to OFF. Make sure all lights are turned OFF. Make sure all air conditioners are turned OFF.

The home was provided exactly as detailed, clean, bright and in excellent condition. Location wise, it’s perfect. Walking distance to town and the beaches and a 10 min car ride to downtown Newport.Although there is suffice drive way parking for most vehicles, our full size crew cab pickup truck did take a bit of finesse.We’d happily stay here again

This was a lovely cottage close to most everything that we wanted to do - with our limited time. Lovely sunsets from the deck or even better was a short walk to the beach. We didn’t use the fully equipped kitchen except for AM coffee. We were there for a great niece’s wedding & it was the prefect place for us to relax/sleep between our numerous activities. Thank you for offering this cozy cottage.

Wonderful stay!

An idyllic location that was walkable to the beach and cute cafes/ restaurants— and for long walkers like me, I was able to go to the seaport every morning, too! It was wonderful for a group stay and highly recommend.

Enjoyable holiday weekend

My family loved our stay at the Mermaid Cottage! The proximity to the beach is great. Traffic can be a bit heavy getting in and out of Newport town, especially on a holiday weekend. Lots of room for families, the spacious basement was used as well. Overall I’d recommend the cottage to anyone looking to visit the area.

Great Location!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was perfect for us - walking distance to the beach and some restaurants/stores. Quick drive to downtown Newport. The house was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We hope to stay again!

Whether we are driving around Newport, lounging at the beaches or surfing. The area and our cottage are the perfect getaway from the bustle of any busy life. Come here to relax, enjoy and be zen.
