About this property

Gorgeous, fully refurbished centrally located cosy cottage

Our beautiful cottage is in the heart of the historic town of Hawick. Spread over two floors the cottage is warm and welcoming but deceptively spacious. The sitting room has a feature fire for cosy nights in and a fully equipped modern kitchen. The courtyard is perfect place for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

Teviot Cottage is located in the centre of the town, just 2 minutes walk from all town centre amenities, yet very quiet, peaceful and private. The towns' new active walkway is 100m form the front door, with links to the renown Wilton Lodge Park, children's play areas, and several supermarkets all within easy reach. Although ample private parking is available adjacent to the house, the cottage is also ideal for those without a car or planning to explore the area on foot or by bicycle.

A fantastic central base for exploring the many sights & activities around Hawick and the Borders region, ideal for walkers & cyclists. Alternatively an ideal base for those visiting the area for work or to be with family and friends.

This is a well positioned house, just off the high street and right by the river and the new river walk. We couldn't fault it in any way. Spotlessly clean, comfy, small patio area to sit outside, friendly neighbours, easy access to the other border towns. Many thanks.

Teviot Cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. It is in a great spot being walking distance to the High Street. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. It was good having a second toilet downstairs. It would be helpful if there were some hooks in the bathroom either behind the door or on the wall.

We arrived at the VRBO after a bit of difficulty locating the house number as we were not aware of the house number and a letter after it…maybe 7E or something like that. We also thought once you entered the lockbox code the door would unlock. It took quite some time after a cousin drove up to advise there is a key inside the lockbox. Not easy to open. The apartment was very cool and we had to notify the owner who was good enough to come by and advise heat on timers. We asked for that to be removed and have the heat on without timer. No problem. The picture of the house showed a bottle of wine and two wine glasses, so I didn’t bring any only to find out that was strictly for show…it would have been nice to have a welcome basket or at the very least the bottle of wine. The house itself was very comfortable. The bedrooms were nice, bed perfect, decorations very tasteful. Kitchen well supplied, although maybe some tinfoil for oven…just a thought. All in all a very nice, comfortable location.
