This is a gem of a cottage which has been completely re-furbished in Summer 2025 and is just a stone’s throw from the scenic ‘Blue Flag’ Leven Beach and the famous Leven Links golf course.
Very convenient for visiting Edinburgh, St. Andrews and the East Neuk villages of Fife.
Everything in this cosy cottage is brand new including the well designed, fitted kitchen complete with breakfast bar and everything you’ll need for cooking. The entire place has been fully insulated with new radiators and thermostat to ensure the perfect temperature can be reached and maintained for the duration of your stay.
The open plan living area has a comfortable sofa which can convert to a second double bed allowing for up to 4 guests in total.
Internet is fast and there are HDMI sockets, as well as Ethernet, integrated to the wall by the sofa enabling you to connect your own devices to the wall mounted TV and router directly without any messy cables on the floor space. All sockets in the living area and bedroom have USB-A and/or USB-C connections for convenient charging without the need for an adaptor.
The bedroom has a double bed with ample storage underneath for long stay guests, as well as shelves and a hanging area behind the door.
A mains connected shower means excellent pressure through the rainfall and handheld shower heads. There is also a heated mirror with its own LED surround lighting to ensure the mirror does not steam up when the shower is running.

About the host
Hosted by Craig Small
We are a married couple who were both born in Scotland. We have lived abroad and travelled the world and both have a background in hospitality.
It made sense for us to use our experiences to start our own little holiday cottage to host others and we believe we have created a great place for visitors to base themselves while visiting the east coast of Scotland.
Why they chose this property
Leven is the gateway to the East Neuk of Fife fishing villages and the most prominent town in the area. It is home to a community swimming pool, high street with coffee shops and bakeries as well as the 'Blue Flag' Leven Beach with scenic views of Largo Bay and over the Firth of Forth.
The local parks include Letham Glan and Silverburn Park which provide lovely walking routes, as does the coastal path towards Lower Largo.
I grew up on the very street this cottage sits on, so I know the area very well so can answer any questions you might have ahead of your arrival.
What makes this property unique
This cottage is over 150 years old, and is in one of the earliest residential areas built in the town. It features on some of the oldest maps available of the beachfront. A small dwelling, it is cosy and ideal for a couple or family of 4.
In Summer 2025 the cottage was completely refurbished, including fully insulated roof, walls and floors throughout for the first time! We took the opportunity to modernise the interior to an open plan kitchen/dining seamlessly connected to the living area.
The recent renovation allowed us to plan each room from the ground up to upgrade the technology throughout. So, connecting to the wall mounted TV is done easily through the integrated sockets on the wall by the seating area, meaning you can connect your own entertainment devices to the 50" Samsung with no messy cables or having to awkwardly connect to the back of the TV directly.
Also, in the bathroom there is a powered, backlit LED mirror with a heat pad to prevent misting and built in niche shelf with lighting inside the shower for the shampoo, conditioner and body wash - all provided.
