Relax and unwind at this charming cottage close to the beach, pubs, and shops in the picturesque fishing village of Gorran Haven, with amazing views from several rooms and the patio. The house has a cosy Aga, a wood burner, a ground-floor shower room, and plenty of space for six, perfect for a family getaway.
With attractive decor, charming rustic features, and attention to detail, you’ll feel right at home as soon as you arrive. Hang out together in the large, light lounge/kitchen/diner relaxing on the comfy sofas with the wood burner roaring watching TV or a movie. Rustle up delicious meals in the spacious, cottage-style kitchen with a homely Aga and doors to the back garden and enjoy sociable mealtimes. There’s also a shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs are two of the bedrooms and a second shower room, two attractive double rooms with good storage and coastal views. Bedroom three, a twin, is on the second-floor mezzanine with skylights that look out to sea. Light the BBQ and enjoy dinner al fresco on the front patio as the sun goes down, while the kids hang out on the lawn and patio at the back.
The ‘Cornish Riviera’ is yours to explore, with Gorran Haven beach just over 150 metres from the cottage and Great Perhaver beach about 500 metres away. Head out for walks through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the headlands along the South West Coast Path. Hemmick beach is a 2-mile walk through stunning scenery and passes three beaches where you can have a quick dip in the sea. Visit Mevagissey (3 miles) and catch a ferry to Fowey (18.5 miles), explore the Lost Gardens of Heligan (5 miles) and the Eden Project (14.5 miles).
