There are a number of fantastic woodland trails for both walkers and mountain bikers as well as scenic driving routes to Bwlch y Groes, Wales' highest road pass. The nearby town of Dinas Mawddwy is home to a popular craft centre and cafe, a garden centre, two pubs and even plays host the annual Red Bull Hardline mountain biking competition. Known as the Ancient Capital of Wales, the pretty market town of Machynlleth is just 10 minutes away by car and offers a great selection of unique stores, local restaurants and pubs as well as the oldest street market in Britain.
