About this property
The Perfect location. Peace and quiet at 3600 ft altitude only 20 mins from I-40
Our home from home is located at 3600 ft and is between Waynesville and Maggie Valley and just 20 minutes off J-20 of I-40
We didn't buy this as a money making property, but as a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives in SE Florida. Waking up with the mountain view and the mist in the valley way below just makes you really appreciate life and puts everything else in to perspective.
We have spent a lot of time and money renovating our cabin with all the comforts needed to make your stay a great experience.
We have a great master bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom and access to the large deck to have a coffee and take in that view first thing in a morning.
2 more large bedroom upstairs with 1 of them having another en-suite. Both are adjacent to our loft area with a large sectional sofa overlooking a 60" LED TV for a great time watching movies or playing our retro 80's style game console. (Space invaders, Pac-Man etc)
Back down stairs we have a solid wood dining table that seats 8 next to our fully equipped kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances.
Our living room has a great, low maintenance, log-style gas fireplace with a brand new 65" ROKU TV so bring your user names for all your favorite streaming apps (Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV etc.)
Walk out on to our large deck with rocking chairs, swing, 7 person dining table, new BBQ as well as our new 6 person hot tub.
We have plenty of parking at the side of the property and a fully maintained front yard as part of our almost 2 acre lot.
Looking down from the deck you'll see our brand new, large fire pit area with a cowboy griddle and seating for 6 - all with that amazing view
High speed WIFI throughout the property make this a great place to chill out any time of year or to do some work away from the office. We have just installed a EERO Pro mesh WIFI system for high speed (100MB) coverage throughout the whole property.
Your welcome kit includes these supplies: - Laundry soap Dishwasher Soap Bath Soap Paper towels Trash Bags (6) Rolls of toilet paper
We also have (2) 'pack and play' portable baby cribs available if you need them.
We ask you not bring any pets and if you bring young kids, please watch over them and respect our property as if it was your own.

House was very clean and comfortable, well furnished with everything we needed and plenty of things to do. Was a great fit for our annual family vacation! Property managers were quick to respond and check in and out for very easy, all the information we needed was send to me via email prior to arrival making the whole process go nice and smooth. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!
The property is absolutely beautiful. The mountain views are stunning! The cabin was clean and very well kept. There was plenty to do right at the cabin. There are several towns not too far away. I would definitely stay again.
The view was magnificent. Our family dearly loves the mountains in the fall with the leaves turning and outside fires. The cowboy camp fire grill was neat too.
This cabin was beyond our expectations! The kids had a blast from being able to have a yard in the mountains to play in and the inside being so up to date with technology but still feeling very rustic! We will be booking again
Beautiful and homey. Spectacular views. We experienced Fall and Winter in the same day. Snow up in the mountains and Fall colors at lower elevations. Just perfect!
This was the first real get away for our family in a long time. The house and view were amazing. We felt like we were walking into our own house. I was excited to try the cowboy stove in the fire pit and it did not disappoint, I cooked some of the best bacon and steak on it, really made me want to get my own. We are already planning another get away back to this wonderful home.
we had four major problems:
1. the dishwasher did not work properly - in the end we had to leave dirty dishes in the dishwasher because there was NO DISHWASHING soap (only hand soap, laundry soap and dishwasher soap)
2. when we tried to call (several times) the "call anytime if there are problems" number left by the owner, we got a "mailbox full" voicemail.
3. on two of the days, there was NO WATER PRESSURE.
4. the tiny ancient charcoal grill is rusted out in the bottom.
We like this place and location, but need to have more dependability.
One would assume that with a massive cleaning fee, you wouldn’t have to leave with your trash. Obviously living in bear country you would need to take certain precautions but to wait until guests arrive to tell them they cannot leave their trash and they have to take it to a dump that is only open half of the week and closed on weekends was not part of the listing. This was INCREDIBLY disappointing and I would not have booked the listing solely based on that. I felt completely price gouged with such a large cleaning fee and had to leave with bags of trash in my car to find a gas station to throw it away at. Very inconvenient. Do not recommend staying here if that is something you look for in a cabin rental.

We're sorry you feel that way, but you were informed of our trash policy in the pdf that was sent out to you.
This is a rural location and trash is not picked up for anybody.
The trash collection place is open 5 days a week. (closed Thurs and Sunday) and is 10 minutes away.
We loved our stay and appreciate the owners sharing their home with us. I loved the fireplace, the spacious kitchen and the lovely porch. The fireplace was amazing. My kids really enjoyed making smores! The house is equipped with all possible pots and utensil even an instant pot (we didn't use).
I do have some recommendations that would make me book again and give it an overall 5 stars. The baseman should be available as a game room. I can only guess the space is used for the owners belongings, but the "game area" upstairs is crammed. While the five kids were playing, we couldn't watch a movie because their laugher, giggles, arguments etc were heard clearly. Also, the downstairs was freezing while the upstairs was super hot. Downstairs bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were always so cold! We couldn't make it warmer as the upstairs was so hot. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely, but to adults or a family with less kids traveling together. My kids love having a "kids' cave" so that's the biggest drawback.

Lacking in Areas
Family to check in at 4 only to find out place was still being cleaned due to previous guests not leaving on time. Finally, at 5:30 I let Amber know that I must have access to kitchen so I could get dinner in the oven. Oven was filthy from huge amounts of spilled grease which led the house getting smokey. Amber in no way had time to deal with that mess. Refrigerator was dirty, but I wiped out as many crumbs as possible. Kitchen drawers are lacking organization. Coffee filters provided are the wrong type for unit. Coffee grounds flooded over filter into coffee pot making for grounds in hot coffee. There was no new sponge for kitchen but found an old one which I sterilized before use.
Was surprised that no starter shampoos or conditioner provided. Also, there was not a tissue to be found. Toilet paper rolls were 1/2 gone and only one of the three bathrooms had replacements.
The house itself was nice with great views and location. Communication with owner was always prompted except in letting me know there was going to be a huge delay!
This was such a beautiful home! Our family really enjoyed our stay and we look forward to staying there again. It was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. The views were amazing! The hot tub was relaxing. Thanks so much!
Perfect Location. Would definitely stay here again.
House was clean. We had no issues, but manager was prompt with replies. House had elevation but still easy access. (Interstate to paved roads) Cute house with great view. Sleeps 10, but that is 2 to a bed and would be crowded if all 10 adults. (Doable, but tight). Very comfortable for 6.
Perfect location for viewing Elk, Parkway, easy access to interstate, and short trip to Waynesville. House well equipped.
Would definitely stay here again.
The home was perfect for our family time. We spent 6 nights here in eaely Spetember. It was a perfect place for a family to come together and relax in the beautiful mountains of WNC. The home was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the jacuzzi (which has a great view), the fire pit and the porch tremendously. While the pictures are beautiful the home is even more beautiful. During our visit we had 2 deer in the yard as well as a red tail hawk. Will definitely be staying again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
My spouse and I loved this property. It was immaculate, the kitchen was well stocked for making meals, and the property manager was quick to respond to any questions, the wifi and smart TVs speeds were fast. We loved making dinner over the cowboy grill at the firepit. We spent most of our time on the porch-the view never gets old, and changes from minute to minute with the clouds and fog. The porch is covered for rainy days, and we played a lot of the porch games that were provided (especially Hookey and corn hole). We also enjoyed playing on the old school video game on the loft inside. The hot tub was a nice bonus.
The property is about 20 min to Waynesville and Maggie Valley, but there is a well stocked convenience and a Dollar General close by for any last minute items. There is an entrance to GSMNP about 15 min up the mountain from the house.
We would definitely stay at this property again. We loved staying on the NC side of the Smokies, we chased a lot of waterfalls in Pisgah and Nantahala Forests.
The rain didn't stop us! We enjoyed the attractions of Maggie Valley and Waynesville and were happy to come back to "Point of View" at the end of the day. Hot tub was fun; cabin had plenty of room for our gang; the porch and view were great; had everything we needed, including a couple of things we forgot! Recommend highly!
This place is really nice and quiet. The view is beautiful and the home is clean and peaceful. It is located in the middle of everything with destination places no more than an hour away. Gatlinburg, Ashville, Pisgah and Natahala National Forests, etc. are all within striking distance of this place.
We will be back!
Great family retreat, with easy access to Cattaloochee Valey and its beautiful elk. In addition, easy access to "touristy" family stuff in Maggey Valley.
Wonderful as mentioned wifi in the mountains can be touch and go. Went out for about 24 hrs. didn't matter, great place. Would recommend to family and friends. So close to cataloochee Valley best way to see S. E. Smokies.
Cabin has an excellent view and is very convenient to Maggie Valley. The outdoor fire pit has a very nice area around it with a fantastic Cowboy Grill.
My family and I really enjoyed everything about this place.
The property is definitely what you call a mountain view. The house is very user friendly. Conveniently located close to Maggie Valley and Waynesville! Would stay again!
The property was super cute. It was exactly as listed. There were plenty of games to occupy yourself with. The view was amazing. Hot tub and fireplace, and fireplace were fantastic amenities. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing weekend, not need to even leave!

We're 2 families that own a pool contracting business in SE Florida.
We work very hard and wanted a place to get away from the hustle of working in SE Florida. Wow did we find the perfect place !
Our point of view is our home or office away from it all. We go many times during the year to work, play and even just slow down and put things in perspective.
We didn't buy this place as a rental business..... it's our home. We'll only be renting a limited number of times throughout the year and are doing it more to allow others the same opportunities we get to strengthen our mind, body and faith.
Why they chose this property

The View from the bedrooms every morning is awe inspiring. Relaxing in the hot tub with that same view just makes it all worth while.
