About this property

Penha de França's Viewpoint Duplex

Stay in a character-filled duplex just steps from Miradouro de Penha de França, where Lisbon’s skyline unfolds before you. This three-bedroom apartment blends vintage charm with modern comforts, perfect for urban explorers looking for a unique stay.

Like many historic Lisbon buildings, this one has its quirks - no elevator, steep wooden stairs, and an aging plumbing system. The apartment is also prone to humidity, so regular ventilation is recommended.

Located on a steep cobbled street, paid street parking is limited, but you’ll have easy access to local cafés, markets, and the Penha de França Municipal Swimming Pools (EUR1.80-EUR2.30 per entry).

The Bedrooms

- Two cozy bedrooms on the lower floor, each with a double bed, laptop desk, wardrobe, and portable heater.
- Spacious attic bedroom, with a double bed, built-in wardrobes, sitting area, and air conditioning.

Note: The attic has low ceilings, following the roof’s architecture.

The Bathrooms

- One bathroom downstairs with a bathtub.
- One attic bathroom with a shower.

Tip: Since both bathrooms are interior spaces, airing them out regularly helps prevent humidity buildup.

The Kitchen & Living Area

- Fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee machine (coffee not included).
- Simple seating area with a bench and a table for two - perfect for a quick meal or planning your next adventure in the city.
- A selection of board games (stored upstairs) for a cozy night in.

Why Stay Here!

- Authentic Lisbon Living: Stay in a local, non-touristy neighborhood with stunning city views just outside your door.
- Great Local Amenities: Walk to cozy cafés, fresh markets, and the public swimming pools for a refreshing dip.
- Work & Relax Balance: Two bedrooms have laptop-friendly desks, and the attic suite offers air-conditioned comfort.
- Game Night Ready: A selection of board games (stored upstairs) to unwind after a day in the city.

What to Keep in Mind

- No Elevator & Steep Stairs: Access to the apartment and attic requires narrow, steep wooden stairs.
- Humidity & Ventilation: As with many historic buildings, humidity is common. Ventilate regularly, especially in the bathrooms.
- Basic Seating Area: The living space is minimalist, with a bench and a table for two rather than a traditional lounge setup.
- Limited Parking: The steep cobbled street has paid parking with limited availability. Public transport or walking is recommended.
- Morning Church Bells: The apartment is near a church, and the bells ring loudly in the morning - keep this in mind if you’re a light sleeper.
- Internet is not available in the apartment

If you appreciate Lisbon’s historic charm and don’t mind a few quirks, this authentic, well-located duplex is a great base for your adventure!

- 1 Bedroom with double bed and AC, on the upper floor
- 2 Bedrooms with Double Bed, on the lower floor
- 1 Living Area
- 1 Fully Equipped Kitchen
- 1 Bathroom with Bathtub
- 1 Bathroom with Shower
