Electric car charging point (shared with other properties on-site, at cost). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Dogs only, all other pets by prior arrangments with owner.. There is no place like Yan Cottage in Lake District to escape and relax. Modern and comfortable throughout, it is the perfect rural retreat. Ideal for families or friends seeking a quiet break away in the Lake District without the crowds, yet close enough to enjoy all the attractions the South Lakes has to offer.

This cottage’s open plan living space and modern styling give it a contemporary feel and is the perfect area to socialise after a day’s adventures. The living area offers comfy sofas to enjoy with your favourite tipple. The kitchen/dining area is a great social space, and you have all the amenities you need to prepare anything from a picnic to a Sunday roast. There are three bedrooms, one bunk room which kids will love, and two double rooms, one with an en-suite bathroom. There is also a family shower room with a shower cubicle. Adjacent to the property is a shared games run/utility area which offers a pool table, table tennis and darts as well as a washing machine and dryer. Outside, Yan has its own flagged veranda with outdoor seating. Stone outbuildings are provided for guests’ use and are ideal for storing bikes/mountain gear or kennels for pets. The cottage also has a private parking space and for electric car users there is a shared charging point.

The lovely market town of Ulverston is within a 10-minute drive, its cobbled streets are lined with a great selection independent shops, pubs cafes and restaurants. The hometown of the Stan Laurel, half of the famous comedy duo Laurel and Hardy. The town celebrates his birth with The Laurel and Hardy Museum. ’Another fine fest’ is one of the many festivals and events available in the town throughout the year. The beautiful South Lakes area offers a wide selection of breath-taking walks and cycle routes through hills and around lakes, or for the less energetic amongst you there is something for everyone from Michelin starred restaurants, to steam trains, lake cruises, wildlife parks, stately homes, horse racing or even escape rooms. You are spoilt for choice and there’s something for everyone.
