Catch 22 Beach Retreat, 3 Bedroom Duplex Apartment on Teignmouth's Back Beach
This striking duplex apartment is located on Teignmouth's vibrant Back Beach, above the superb seafood restaurant Catch 22, offering an unforgettable experience for up to six guests. Whether you are coming for the beaches, watersports, magnificent local natural landscape, to explore the array of quirky independent shops, or to use as a base to discover the rest of Devon, Catch 22 Beach Retreat offers the perfect coastal location for you.
The private main entrance leads to a staircase that takes you to the first-floor living area. The galley-style kitchen is fully equipped and offers a large fridge, separate freezer, gas oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave and coffee maker etc. A glazed door leads onto a spacious terrace at the rear of the building.
The large dining area is beautifully decorated in relaxing ocean blues, soft golds and neutrals and furnished with a dining table and chairs at one end and a log-burner and comfy chair-and-a-half at the other. Glazed patio doors open onto a balcony which runs the full width of the property and offers spectacular views of the beach below, the River Teign and its estuary, as far as Dartmoor in the distance. A perfect retreat to relax, while away the hours and watch superb sunsets.
Behind the dining area is a cosy living room with a large L-shaped sofa, a hanging Bubble Chair, 55 inch TV, a coffee table and a selection of games.
On the second floor are three spacious double bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. There are two further double bedrooms and a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
Teignmouth sits at the mouth of the River Teign and has two beaches, the Main Beach, which is perfect for swimming and sunbathing, as well as the characterful River or Back Beach which is bustling with fishing boats, watersports, bars, pubs and restaurants offering fresh seafood or fish and chips. It is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the fantastic views of the estuary and the fabulous sunsets. Teignmouth has good rail connections to London, Birmingham and Manchester. A traditional seaside town with its Georgian architecture, Victorian Pier, Promenade, Lido, Bowls, Skate Park and award-winning Children's Play Park and Crazy Golf. The Pavilions has regular theatre and cinema performances as well as Comedy Club, Dance and Children's activities. There are regular music festivals throughout the year, including jazz and folk music and there is an array of small independent shops and the Arts Quarter with a range of art galleries, artisan and craft shops. Relax with a coffee, enjoy breakfast or lunch in one of the many bistros and dine in one of the superb restaurants, many of which offer local, seasonal produce. There are also many takeaway venues.
