Welcome to Gatelodge, a spacious and welcoming family home located on Old Bystock Drive in Exmouth. Just a short drive from Exmouth Beach and the beautiful Jurassic Coast, this is the perfect base for a relaxed seaside escape.

Sleeping up to 5–6 guests across four bedrooms, Gatelodge offers generous living space, cosy interiors and a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow ideal for family holidays, coastal breaks or longer stays in East Devon.

The Space

Gatelodge is designed for comfortable, easy living. The home is light, spacious and thoughtfully laid out, offering multiple areas to relax, dine and unwind — something guests particularly value when travelling as a family.

Bedrooms & Sleeping Arrangements

The property sleeps up to six guests across four bedrooms.

There are two comfortable double bedrooms, a single bedroom, and a fourth smaller single room that is best suited to one small child due to its compact size. The layout works particularly well for families, giving everyone their own space while still feeling connected.

Living Areas

The main living room is cosy and inviting, with two large sofas and a wood burner creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere — perfect for slower evenings after beach days or coastal walks.

The kitchen and dining area flows into a second living space featuring a large corner sofa and another wood burner, making it a wonderful social heart of the home. Large bi-fold doors open fully onto the garden, allowing you to truly embrace al fresco dining and indoor-outdoor living during warmer months. It’s an ideal space for summer evenings, morning coffees in the fresh air, or relaxed family meals with the doors open.

In addition, there is a separate dining room with seating for six guests — perfect for family dinners, celebrations or gathering everyone together comfortably around the table.

With multiple living areas, the house offers flexibility whether you’re travelling with children, extended family or friends.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering stays, whether you`re preparing a quick breakfast before heading to the beach or cooking a relaxed evening meal. There is ample workspace and everything you need for a comfortable home-from-home experience.

Bathrooms

The property includes a family bathroom with fresh towels provided. Clean, practical and well suited to family use, it offers everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Outdoor Space

The garden becomes a natural extension of the home thanks to the bi-fold doors. On sunny days, it transforms the living space into a light-filled, open environment that’s perfect for enjoying Devon’s coastal air.

Gatelodge is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, so we kindly ask guests to be respectful of neighbours. The fourth bedroom is compact and most comfortable for a young child rather than an adult.

Guests will have full, private access to the entire property for the duration of their stay. This includes all bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, dining room and garden.

The home is accessed via self check-in, allowing you to arrive at a time that suits you. Full arrival details will be sent prior to your stay, along with everything you need to know for a smooth check-in.

Parking is available at the property, making arrival easy whether you’re visiting for a weekend break or a longer coastal stay.

We like to give our guests complete privacy to relax and enjoy their stay, but we’re always available if needed.
