Perfect
Everything about this beautiful cabin is perfect. The location could not be better as is sits atop of a hill where you can see mountains out of every window. It is so close to the entrance to Yellowstone, Gardiner and not to far from Livingston. Everyday we saw the Elk herd from the balcony. It had everything you may need to make your stay comfortable from the bed, full kitchen, cozy blankets to the nice dining and living room furniture. The hosts were kind and welcoming. We are so grateful we stayed here.

Beautiful and peaceful space
We loved staying here. It was so quiet and pieceful and not far from Yellowstone, where we spent our days. I'll never forget the first morning when we woke up to find the place surrounded by a heard of elk. We just opened all the curtains, made coffee, and sat and enjoyed the view as they picked their way past and had their own breakfast. It was a magical experience for my family. I hope we can come back another time.

The Overlook, stunning views and cozy cabin
My family of 5 stayed at The Overlook” at Little trail creek cabins and it was perfect for us. The cabin was clean, cozy and had amazing views. This cabin had everything we needed and Shawn was so lovely and responsive to us during our stay and leading up to our stay as I had a few questions. Its about 10-15 minutes from the Yellowstone Hot springs which my kids loved after a long day of exploring Yellowstone. It’s also 7 minutes from the town of Gardiner and the North entrance Yellowstone. We spent the mornings on the front porch drinking coffee with amazing Mountain View’s then off to explore Yellowstone National park. We came home in the early evening to eat and relax and it was perfect. Shawn also has items for kids to play with, a trampoline and other items for purchase. If you need ice they have it too! They’ve thought of everything, we will be back and I highly recommend it!

Wonderful Stay!
This property & the owners are so great! The view is incredible! We sat on the front porch & enjoyed the view of the mountains everyday. The trail behind the property has a creek running through it. It’s so peaceful! The drive to Yellowstone is only 10 minutes. The elk herd moved through the property every morning & evening too! The owners are very sweet & friendly. Also, the horses & dogs made the stay extra special! Loved it!

The Lookout Cabin was built in 2018. We are a Mom & Pop business. We have enjoyed hosting guests from all over the world. We fully understand the importance of a clean environment. I have been a nurse for twenty years. I clean all of the cabins thoroughly between stays.

Why they chose this property

It is the perfect setting to relax, explore, exercise, reset or whatever you need to do. We love the little town of Gardiner and are excited to share this property with guests. It is just far enough out of the town to feel like you have your own piece of paradise. But close enough to enjoy everything Gardiner and Yellowstone have to offer. 5 minute drive to Yellowstone National Park & Hot Springs.
There are three other rental cabins on this 13 acre property. Each cabin has a couple acres to themselves.

What makes this property unique

Babysitting available most nights. Outdoor campfire cookouts available most nights. Enjoy elk sausage made right here on the property with western ham & beans cooked over an open fire. Call ahead to make arrangements.

This cabin was built in 2018. We have worked closely with the builder to make it into a perfect guest cabin. There are no closets or dressers. We have chosen to maximize the space. It has beautiful hardwood floors throughout the main level. Large windows throughout bring the outdoors in. Large reclining couch & loveseat to relax after a long day. BBQ & fire pit in the back yard.

The back yard in thousands of acres of public land to explore. Little Trail Creek runs through the property. Amazing views of Yellowstone and Paradise Valley.

Let us know if you have any questions or special requests.
