About this property

2 Bed in Dulverton (oc-47152)

Located in a peaceful setting surrounded by open fields, woodland and a stream, this property is a walker’s paradise. Set out on foot for a paddle in the stream or stroll up onto the moor, famous for its native ponies and breath-taking scenery. Exmoor National Park backs onto the Somerset coastline, taking in the pretty towns of Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth, home to popular pubs, galleries and boutiques and often referred to as “Little Switzerland”. The cottage is situated in the dark Sky Reserve, so a must for all star gazers! A little further afield, the sandy beaches of Minehead and Woolacombe are well worth a visit, especially when the weather is good.

Inside, this charming cottage has been extended and modernised to provide spacious, bright and homely accommodation. The kitchen/diner is a fantastic open-plan space with contemporary units, a large dining table for entertaining and a well-stocked bookcase. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, Rayburn (please note this is not in use and is a feature only), microwave, dishwasher and fridge, while the utility room contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. The lounge is bright in the daytime and cosy at night with three large windows and a wood burner. This is a homely room with a large oriental rug, comfortable sofas, occasional lighting, another fully-stocked bookcase and TV/DVD. This property offers two elegant and spacious bedrooms, one double with en-suite bathroom and one twin, which can be made into a king-size on request. There is also a modern bathroom with bath.

Outside, a sunny patio area with BBQ and garden furniture offers fantastic views of the open countryside beyond. Friendly and well behaved dogs are welcome, the large enclosed garden beyond is ideal for four-legged friends and backs onto a fenced bridge and stream. Please note this is a very rural area with many sheep, cattle and other animals.
