While exploring the Hocking Hills we’ve got you covered for the in-between times. There is a playground for the kids, high-speed internet with wifi for all your devices, a spacious yard for your dog(s) to enjoy and peace and quiet for you... it doesn’t get much better than this!

I do not live on site. However, I'm only a phone call or message away if something is needed.

If a guest has limited mobility, there are 2 steps to get onto the covered porch. We do have a portable ramp that can be left if requested for wheel chair. Wheel chair accessibility on the first floor for access to kitchen, bathroom, family room, and first-floor bedroom. Please let me know prior to booking what accommodations would be needed for your stay.

Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.

Perfect Family Vacation

We had 9 adults, 1 teenager, 2 little kids and 2 dogs. This was the perfect place for us, plenty of room, had a blast with the games and the bonfire pit. Everything we wanted to do was a short drive awat but we felt like we were secluded in the woods. It's a very private, beautiful property.

Nice house for a large family

This house is a great house for the number of people in our family. Our family ranges in ages 1 to 85. The downstairs bedroom was ideal for our older two, and the upstairs accomodated our younger members perfectly with 3 sleeping in the large basement bedroom. The location of the house is great, too. It is close to Lancaster where we enjoyed Rising Park, and not too far from Hocking Hills State Park where we enjoyed hiking! Overall, this house was wonderful for our family. Our host, Elizabeth, was the best, very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful

We rented this property to spend Thanksgiving with our adult children. The host was very responsive and helpful. My only recommendation would be for blankets on the beds in addition to the quilts during cold weather. Would definitely recommend!.

Fun getaway!

Very pretty cabin, nice and clean and spacious.Plenty of games and activities for kids! Owner seemed very nice and easy to communicate with! We hope to come back soon.

Beautiful Cabin!!

This is our second time staying and I’m sure we’ll be back with the kids next time! The cabin is beautiful and spacious! The owner is very nice and communicative! If you’re looking for a nice homey feel I’d definitely recommend booking! We ended up getting a sitter for our pups but I also love how inclusive the cabin is not only for kids but for fur babies too!

Family Christmas Getaway

This cabin was the perfect Christmas retreat for our growing family. It's roomy and comfortable. Elizabeth made our stay so easy and even made us fresh scones and provided a Christmas decoration for us to put together with our youngest granchildren!!

Family fun!

This was a long weekend trip for my husband, me, 3 adult daughters, 2 husbands & 2 grandkids. We had a great time! Used the hot tub, fire pit, pool table, air hockey, & playground all provided at the cabin! So many things to do within just a few miles: Hiking, trails for our OHV, shopping, flea market & antiques shops! Elizabeth gave us a tour of the large cabin & was quick to respond to any questions we had throughout our stay. We enjoyed our stay so much & plan to make this an annual family event!

Family Vacation

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Elizabeth was fantastic and answered any questions we had promptly. She also left us a wonderful welcome gift of a smores kit-perfect for the kids(and adults) in the group. We will definitely rent this place again when we come back.

Family Vacation 2020!!

Great property

The house worked wonderful for us. Students were inspired and created a lot of songs based on the surroundings. And I believe they use the hot tub quite too. Kitchen is a great workspace for a large group of people. This property worked well for a visit.

Great Place

This was a great property to stay at. The location is very easy to find. It is about 30 minutes from Hocking Hills state park but a very easy drive. The house was wonderful. Very clean had lots of kitchen things to use. The hot tub was great. The toy room was a great bonus for the younger kids and the games in the basement were awesome.

Easter Lockdown

During the COVID19 self quarantine this cabin was perfect fit for my huge my family and covered everyone’s needs. The property kept everyone busy and was large enough to hide if need be! Loved it and would totally recommend!

Great place for a group with kids

This property was amazing, especially for a group with kids. All of the kids loved the swing set, arcade games, hot tub, and toy room so much! The men said the pool table and sticks definitely need upgraded, but they still had fun! Well stocked kitchen! Also the shower water will go between hot and cold if more than one thing is using water at once. Overall amazing place to stay though!

Overall good stay

The cabin was beautiful we loved all the wood. It’s equipped with everything!!!! The arcade games aren’t free and didn’t seem to work. The basement isn’t fully finished like we assumed from the pics. Overall we had a great time celebrating thanksgiving here and we’ll definitely be back!!!!

Family Gathering for Belated Christmas

Everything went perfectly. Plenty of room for our large family, lot's to do, every amenity we could want. Elizabeth communicated every step of the way, making the trip less stressful because we didn't have to guess about anything. She even left her tree up for our gift exchange. My older kids went out and explored the area (antiquing, etc.) and had a great time. Cannot thank Elizabeth enough for how blessed our family felt to gather together in her home.

Cabin House

The house overall is wonderful and the owner was very responsive. We were slightly disappointed when we got there and found it strange that there was many personal belongings in the basement and soil, garbage laying out on the front porch. Also I know this is out of the owners control but the neighboring house has trash and tires laying all over which is a eyesore. Overall great property!

This is a beautiful cabin that is not maintained. There is a lot of garbage stacked around and throughout the house. weeds landscaping all overgrown including poison Ivy growing near the basket ball hoop. Mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers. Owner said they have traps poison outside but didn't clean the mess they made inside.

Could have been cleaner.

The kitchen could have been better stocked with dishes and especially pots and pans. The living room furniture could be replaced, it was older and very uncomfortable. The bathroom in the basement had quite a bit of mold on it. The basement could use carpeting. We spent quite a bit of time there with having little ones, it has a nice play set outside; however, the lawn hadn’t been mowed for quite some time. I would not recommend this house to any of my friends.

Dissatisfied

Got to the property and couldn’t find the lock box. When we did the front door handle was loose and came off in our hands. House sleeps 16 but didn’t even have enough towels for our 8 guests and when I checked the dryer they were full of soaked linen. Told owner and never was even offered a discount on our stay and my husband had to buy tools to fix the front door so we could even lock it. Disappointed for as much as the property cost. Floors were so dirty we all had black feet from walking on them. Wouldn’t rent again

Ohio family Reunion

First let me state the positives. The check in was uneventful and the lodge was relatively clean. The kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table and arcade games. Now let me state some of the negatives. The lodge and the online pics did not really match, and the owners attention to maintaining the property left allot to be desired. Two big issues, the hot tub, it was green and murky, no one in my group felt obligated to jump in except my granddaughter, and she only braved it once. The second major issue where the showers, they didn’t work, or shall I say worked intermittently. For the dollars I spent renting the premises for the weekend I would expect to take a decent shower. That didn’t happen. To all prospective renters please shower before you go. A couple minor issues, the owners really didn’t invest in allot of toilet paper, so please bring your own. Also, paper towels. And the trash cans were out by the road. A little bit of a walk. And by the way, they were full when we arrived. And another minor issue was the parking. Be advised that if you have older persons in your group that there is only room for one or two cars to park on the level of the entrances to the lodge. Otherwise you will be parking below the lodge and have to walk up a hill to the lodge itself. Not the owners fault, Just an issue that needs to be brought up. Overall, the family had a good time, would I go back or recommend the lodge ? Nope.

Very good for families with children. Tiny bit of an issue with water pressure when everyone was trying to get ready in the morning. Inside very clean. Outside was good, but maybe a power wash? Overall, a great stay. Host was very responsive. Easy check in.

I want to start by saying that our family, which included 4 generations, had a great weekend spending time together. We enjoyed the area and the amenities the home offered. For us the devil was in the details with this home. We specifically looked for 6 bedroom homes, this one, although listed as a 6 bedroom is a 5 bedroom with a sleeping loft. (We learned that a loft can be listed as a bedroom per VRBO but did not feel it was clear in the listing, maybe my fault for not reading better or asking more questions.) And 1 of the bedrooms has a glass door and open window (no glass) to the open room below, so no sound barrier. There were not enough coffee cups for our group and only 3/4 drinking glasses. The oven was so dirty we did not use it, the toaster worked but was broken, the dishwasher was not attached to the cupboard and tipped out when opened (but it did work). The blender lid was broken but the owner had a new one shipped overnight knowing it was something we had asked for (which was much appreciated!) When we reported these and several other issues the owner did offer to come the next day and fix the things that could be taken care of, however due to napping babies and planned outings we did decline. It was close enough to go to Hocking Hills for a day, we found a fantastic children's museum in Lancaster that our toddler's really enjoyed. We would not choose to stay again. For us we did not feel we got a good product for the , however the family time was precious.

We offer a place where you can get away from the city to hike and enjoy nature. While also offering modern conveniences like hi speed internet access for work and family. You also have great restaurants and large chain grocery and coffee shops within 8 miles. We are a great spot in the middle of the things we need like Starbucks and things we want to experience like exploring the Hocking Hills.
