About this property
BEST SPRING SKIING!! Mountain Ski House Masterpiece. Featured In magazines/TV
My home will take your breath away.
It has been featured in many architectural home magazines, as well as a featured home on HGTV. It is award winning, full of sunlight and cheerful. It has European charm and unique character.
Tucked secretly in town but so private it's hard to find, is my Mountain Ski House Masterpiece.
Built from a dream up in 2001, barn wood from the old Elk Horn Mine in Montana now graces the exterior siding of this two story treasure.
A restored historic shed that retains the flavor of this mining town is now your romantic master bedroom suite. Relax in front of the southwestern style bedroom kiva fireplace. It is on the creek and the sound of running water will lull you to sleep.
The detached "bunkhouse" shed provides the perfect get away for children.
The "Sundance" collection completes the guest room interiors. Open the large windows at night and hear the creek, just inches away, trickle under the snow.
The flooring is three hundred year old wide plank pine. The sweeping twenty-five foot high ceilings are supported by century old beams. Imported doors from Mexico are throughout the house. The art work covering the walls has been collected from all over the world. Exquisitely beautiful Persian rugs are meant to be walked and lived on.
It is a warm, handsome, family adoring home. Every shop and restaurant is a walk away — yet you are hidden on Bear Alley and very private. The boutique ski area, part of Vail Resorts and the Epic Pass, is nestled two miles up the road. A town shuttle will take you there. The shuttle stop is two blocks away.
After a day of skiing, sip wine in the outdoor hot tub, just inches away from the creek.
A stay in my home will open up a lifetime love affair with Crested Butte.
Crested Butte is an experience.
My Mountain Ski House Masterpiece is a feeling.
I look forward to your stay.

About the host
Hosted by Elizabeth Currier
Liz Le Coq Currier, a Colorado native, longed to return home after living twenty years in San Francisco. In 2001 she and her husband, Joe Currier, found the perfect lot, tucked off a gravel alley, perched on running water and right in town.
The storybook house Liz created and designed, began as a vacation home, but quickly became the permanent residence for Liz, Joe and their teenage son, Jenner.
Liz is currently working on a screenplay and uses the "bunkhouse" as her writing studio and happy place.
