A delightful place truly away from it all but in proximity to many mountain destinations. Montreat is like the emerald city in wizard of oz. I recommend the fall when you visit when the landscape is like a visual palate of the senses. You are one visit away from a quiet but royal rustic getaway. Make your reservations today.Bruce

disappointed. I know that the property was billed as rustic, but we didn’t know how.”rustic” it would be.positive aspects: nice porch and location .negative aspects: spider in kitchen, sink was so low in the kitchen hard to use,, the living room smelled musty, and the residual from fires in the fireplace, the sofa in the living room had awful smell bad worn out they need to get a new one, the window in one of the downstairs bedrooms had crummy, tape covered up the holes in the screens, the windowsills and the rooms were really dirty.

The cabin is exactly as described, basic, rustic, but clean and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay, we did a lot of front porch reading. We made s'mores in the firepit out back. Perfect for a relaxing weekend in the mountains.

This was the perfect cozy cottage to feel away from the hustle and bustle but accessible to stores, restaurants, and a variety of activities. Accommodations were rustic and simple, but very clean and comfortable, conducive for a welcome slower pace and break from an overly connected/digital lifestyle. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful.

Great location - SO CLEAN!!

Great little house - love the history. Location was perfect and it was SO SO clean! Had all the extra supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap & hand soap, etc). So glad we stayed and hope to stay again!!

Wonderful quaint cottage.

Excellent Retreat Spot

Priced Right

If you don’t mind a rustic house (hunting camp) you will enjoy your stay for the price. Close to Black Mountain and One of the best places to eat was the Blue Ridge Biscuit.

Fantastic Stay with Family

We loved our stay with 4 adult family members at this Montreat cottage. The front porch is over-sized and the perfect place to gather. Most nights we grilled in the backyard because temperatures were high for July. We are looking forward to going back!

Peaceful, rustic stay

Loved the front porch. I sat outside on the glider more than I stayed inside. Nice neighborhood. Close to town. Cute shops downtown and wonderful local eateries. Highly recommend Fresh Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta and Trailahead. Wonderful stay, peaceful and relaxing.

Family Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was nice to relax and disconnect for a few days. Location was great for a short drive into Black Mountain for shopping and food. It was fun to step back into time a little with this home. We hope to return again in the future!
