We only stayed one night but everything was as pictured and represented online. Nice area and though small, the cottage has about everything one could want.
We had our first family vacation here with my husband and 15 month old. It is in fact a studio but didn’t feel cramped. Was perfect for our needs and the view of the ocean/breakers was amazing! Successful trip!
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is definitely small but since there was only two of us it was fine. You really can see the ocean from inside or outside the house and could hear it at night! It was a great location, especially for Marie Force readers, only they will get that comment! Everyone was really nice and we had a great time!
Location was great, and the space had everything we needed! My only complaint is the cleanliness. The bedspread and floor mats were pretty dirty, you could tell they were just vacuumed and not washed between guests. The towels also smelled mildewy, they were washed but maybe not dried properly.
Got to property and had trouble with the front door lock. Gas grill was not there and when it did arrive it was not useable. Also no shower curtain for the shower. Very basic cable. Minimal channels. Great location. Quick walk to beach.
I've been going to the RI shore for over 30 years and Mary's cottage was probably my favorite visit of them all. Perfectly located/situated steps from the protected harbor beach. Great for kids. Short jaunt to the lighthouse, Aunt Carrie's and Iggys practically walking distance. House was clean and relatively well equipped. AC was great, bed was comfortable. I was able to make surf and turf with Lobsters bought off the boat in Galilee without issue using everything provided in the kitchen. Great size for a couple or a family with one or maybe two small children. Highly recommended.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the great review.
Hope to see you next summer.
Great location, just steps to the beach. Cottage is quite small, if you’re looking to host some friends it is not ideal, but if you’re looking for a private getaway for two like we were, it couldn’t be better. Would definitely stay again.
Thank you! We had another wonderful week here this summer. The private beach is relaxing and sunsets are breathtaking. The studio was clean and well kept. Hope to return next year.
Cute little studio cottage with everything you need for a few days away, including a backyard with an ocean view. Quick walk to the beautiful beach. We had a great time.
Really lovely Cottage. Great for single mom, young child or two lovebirds!!!
Within walking distance to small beach perfect for kids! Has a full kitchen. And there is also room for a blow-up mattress. AC works excellent! Beautiful hydrangeas outside the entrance. Did not get a chance to meet the owner but Breakwater Village is a lovely place. I hope to own something there myself one day
Breakwater village is a great spot and the cottage is small but extremely functional and perfect for our stay. The hydrangeas were STUNNING, and the views, the neighborhood all really lovely. The location is really everything, Mary was extremely helpful and prompt. Everything you hope for.
This cottage can be summed up in one word, ADORABLE!! It's perfect for 2 people. My niece and I had a fantastic time staying here. Mary, the owner, was wonderful to deal with. The cottage is sooo close to the private beach. We had no problem taking the short walk with all of our beach necessities. It was refreshing to not have to fight crowds of people to find a perfect spot at the beach. At the most, there were 10 other people there when we were there. We also walked around Breakwater Village, it's charming!! There was even an ice cream truck that drove by. The only negative things I can think of, there is NO hairdryer. Not really a problem unless you're in a rush to go out. And the mattress is a bit hard. We loved staying here and will definitely be back!!
We had a lovely stay in Narragansett! The cottage was perfect and is in an amazing location! We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and watching the sunset on the beach. Mary even set out fresh flowers for our stay. Thank you!
My husband and I stayed here for a little weekend getaway “babymoon.” It was exactly what we were hoping for. Nice and close to the private beach where we didn’t feel overcrowded and in a great location near tons of great places to eat. The place was small but it was perfect for just the two of us.
we went for memorial day weekend... the weather ended up being a real bummer so we spent alot of time inside the house!! very cozy, perfect for 2 people. in unit laundry was very convenient and we enjoyed being able to see the water from the back door. the woman we rented from was super nice and helpful with any questions or concerns we had! would love to book again in the future and will definitely recommend
I was able to take advantage of a cancelation at this property after my out of state vacation was canceled due to covid travel restrictions. What a wonderful surprise!! This was more than I had hoped for and affordable for a single mom and her teenage daughter. The studio is freshly decorated and has all the conveniences of home. There’s even a ocean view from the sliding door and backyard. The walk to the beach is steps away and the beach is private, clean, and not crowded. The community is maintained and has lovely landscaping. The walk along the ocean can be done on the sand/rocks or by pavement on Shore Rd which is not busy. The westerly exposure is priceless for nightly sunsets. Judy was excellent to work with and was extremely accommodating. The tv/wifi connection was weak but that didn’t matter to us at all. We will be back again and hope there is availability next summer!
We had an awesome mary the owner was fantastic. We would definetly go back great locarion. G

Karen and her husband were fun guests. You can tell they throughly enjoyed all that RI has to offer, beaches, Block Island, Newport and Galilee. I would recommend them as guests and hope to have them back next year.
We had a wonderful week at this property. Its the perfect size for a couple. The beach is a very short walk and Iggys is only a mile or so away. Check in was a breeze and Mary was easily accessible if we needed anything. We would happily rent this property again for a getaway.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for leaving the cottage in perfect condition.
See you next time : )

Quaint but not complete
This cottage is adorable and good for 2 people but it is not a 1 bedroom it is a studio. It lacked attention to detail in that the closet was unfinished, the curtain on the kitchen window was a pillow case shoved in the window and the front door window was covered with paper stuck to the door with scotch tape. The other curtains on the sliders were hung haphazardly some straight some upside down. It lacked amenities I would expect in a beach rental such as a blender, ( who doesn't enjoy a margarita ),all tableware was limited to 2 and also the ants took up residence in our shoes. Now I know this sounds like a bad review but it's not the location is perfect just steps to the beach with beach views from the back door. This property has potential but needs some fine tuning
