About this property

Water lovers Dream-Newly renovated! Gorgeous modern updates with a rustic flare!

Enjoy this newly updated cabin with a gorgeous new kitchen that keeps some flare of rustic with modern amenities. This adorable cabin, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath is just 6 miles from Lake Linden and 1.2 miles from Dreamland Restaurant and Bar. Enjoy 60 ft of lake front with a private dock with a large sitting area for your personal enjoyment whether for swimming, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, fishing or the gorgeous sunsets-the water fun is endless!! Just off Chipmunk Trail for quick access to trails for walking and biking. We do accept dogs. We ask they do biz on roadside, not lake side, picked up after, leashed at all times and please don’t leave them for long period of times, as the cabin is not a kennel. If you need a boat, just let us know and we can have a small 14ft boat with motor available for rent for 15.00 per 24hrs-includes one tank of gas for each 24hrs. Will even supply some tackle and rods, just let us know. You can always bring your own boat or jet skis if you wish and launch in Lake Linden and keep at the 74ft dock which can accommodate up to approx an 18ft boat since water is fairly shallow. There is a 16ft Grumman canoe/paddles available, with four adult life jackets, as well as two sea kayaks for your enjoyment free of charge-use at your own risk. 30 AMP RV service is also available at 25.00 a day if you have visitors needing to stay that have their own rig. Come enjoy the beauty of the U.P. Experience the adventures and sites the Keweenaw has to offer!

Very nice, cozy cabin!
We were able to spend some time with our MTU Husky and take in some beautiful sites. A little chilly to use the outdoor amenities, but would be great in the summer.

The Perfect Getaway!
Tom & Kierstin's cabin was the perfect complement of comfort, accommodation, and location; providing our base-camp for autumn color jaunts to museums, mine tours, lighthouses, ghost towns, harbors, tree tunnels, logging trails, historic pubs, and all things days-of-y'ore & copper.' The friendly hosts were available for wonderful insights and answers and we felt very much at home.

Beautiful lake front cabin
Clean, cozy, welcoming cabin on calm lake front with canoe and kayaks. Kierstin and Tom made us feel welcome and the cabin is equipped with all the comforts of home. The lake is beautiful and the cabin has several spots to sit and enjoy the views and the breeze off the lake. We took the kayaks out, and we sat with our dogs watching the sunsets. A fire pit is available though it was warm so we didn't use it. Cabin is short drive to state parks, hikes and waterfalls, as well as nearby towns for restaurants and markets. Kitchen is really well stocked with everything needed to cook and prepare meals. Definitely would recommend, and keep an eye out for Bald eagles hanging out in the pines on the lake.

About the host

Hosted by Kierstin and Tom Waara

Tom was born here, left for college and returned in 1995 with his wife, Kierstin, who was born and raised in Alaska. They each have their own businesses in the area along with the cabin rental.

What makes this property unique

We accept dogs. Plenty of room. Just ask they do biz on the road side, not the water/grassy side as it kills grass and always picked up after. Always keep them leashed or tethered as other dogs are in the area. Trees available for runners.
