The swimming area features a gentle, shallow entry, making it an ideal and safe place for everyone to enjoy a refreshing dip and cool off on warm summer days.

For the adventurous traveler, trail access is a breeze from our property. You can head out on your UTV or snowmobile by simply crossing the quiet road directly in front of the house to reach the private trail on our property that connects to the main network. (You can see the exact access point on the map picture in our listing). Summer brings endless opportunities for exploring the scenic ORV trail network, while in the winter, the thrill of snowmobiling is just as accessible. The snowmobile trail connected to our property typically opens in early January and remains open through late March, ensuring a seamless start to your cold-weather excursions.

When it’s time to hit the slopes, both Mont Ripley, near Houghton, and the legendary Mount Bohemia, known for its challenging terrain and abundant natural snow, are within easy driving distance for downhill skiing adventures.

Beyond the immediate property, you'll find yourself perfectly situated to explore the wonders of the Keweenaw. A short drive will bring you to the beautiful White City, with its stunning white sand beach along the shores of Lake Superior. While in the area, you might also catch a glimpse of the historic Portage River Lighthouse near Jacobsville. Explore the rich history of this unique region, with its charming towns showcasing well-preserved architecture and fascinating mining heritage. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Keweenaw offers numerous hiking trails with breathtaking views of forests, waterfalls, and Lake Superior.

When hunger strikes, Dreamland Restaurant is conveniently located just about a mile away, offering a popular dining option. Whether you're seeking summer lake adventures on Portage Lake, exploring scenic hiking trails, thrilling winter excursions on the trails and slopes, or delving into the unique history and natural beauty of the Keweenaw, this Bootjack area gem provides the perfect home base for your unforgettable Upper Peninsula getaway.

Family Weekend

Property was the perfect evening getaway after a family gathering, but would be a great location to enjoy a waterfront property. Great location to swim, boat or just enjoy sunrises/sunsets. Accommodations and amenities were very comfortable.
