20th Anniversary!

Misiones del Cabo is a beautiful condominium community! We LOVED our stay there. From the cozy perfect condo, with million dollar views, to the private beach, pool, restaurant (which delivers!),and mini-market, we had everything we needed or wanted! The hot tub works great and is perfect for two! Hostess was amazing as was the concierge who booked all of our adventures for us! Thank you Julie! 🙏

Beautiful morning sunrises!

We had some confusion with checking in (given the wrong condo #) and then some unfortunate events with plumbing and appliances, BUT, besides that, the place was beautiful and just what we expected from pictures. Morning sunrises were the highlight to our days. Close to a semi-private beach which was very nice and close to the pool bar, restaurant, and bathrooms!

Retirement Celebration

To celebrate retirement, we chose this property for our 20-day get-away! Misiones del Cabo is between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It was a quick Uber ride to pick up groceries, run into Cabo for fun walks, shopping and dining at the marina or to San Jose del Cabo for the Art Faire!! Everyone is friendly at Misiones! The on-site restaurant is a fabulous place for great food in a casual atmosphere! We ate there many times!! We can’t wait to come back next year!! Special thanks to our host, Julia, for her friendliness and quick responses to minor issues incurred during our stay.

Clean and well supplied with necessary equipment, somewhat off the beaten path (fine for us but may be an issue for youngsters 😉) personally, I would remove the back deck spa. It’s not in the best of conditions and takes up too much useable space. Overall, a good experience

Condo review for remote work

The view from the balcony to the ocean was amazing. We were looking for a place to work from and unfortunately, while the listing shows 1 bedroom and a living room, you can not have 2 people working from each of these spaces as there is a huge window gap with a TV in it with no shutters that can be closed ( ie shutters were missing). The property also had hot water intermittent availability and bathroom smell issues so we had to check out after one night.

We love Missiones del Cabo, and as always the grounds and the pool area, and restaurant were great and exactly what we were expecting. Upon arrival some of the welcome instructions in the email were incorrect, mainly the WIFI password was not correct. It was late and had been a long day, but the next morning I found the correct one written on a scrap of paper luckily. When I booked this property, and I can't find the listing now to check if there have been updates, but it was advertised as having DISH so I could watch TV from the states. Well we were there right during college bowl season, and it was important to me to have access to these. Unfortunately the owner had decided to discontinue this service, and basically you had access to Amazon prime. I was not happy. Also I thought in the description that it was stated there was an outdoor grill. There is not one, which I find important down here as we love to grill fish and shrimp from the local area. The furniture in this unit is extremely uncomfortable. The balcony has an amazing view, and that is the selling point. It was impossible to control the temperature in the shower, about the time you got it right it would get so hot you couldn't stand in it, then you adjusted it and it was cold - very frustrating. As stated, we love this location, but this particular unit definitely needs some upgrades and improvements.

Wonderful Property and Private Beach

The view from the deck is wonderful. We were there at a great time to see the Humpback whales breaching and feeding. We also watched the sunrise each morning, and watched a special moon phase that it was rising just before the sun over the horizon. The pool bar and restaurant, had the best food we ate anywhere in Cabo, super fresh and cooked very well, the drinks are very good too, the prices are very fair, and the guys who run it are wonderful. The snorkeling is fabulous! Go when the tide is on the higher side, and there will be hundreds of fish, large to small electric blues. Julie, the owner lives next door, but you have complete privacy. She's a very lovely woman, and helpful with anything you need. The condo looks like the photos, it's a little dated, but the price is very fair, and it has everything you need. The bed is very comfortable, which is a very important thing for us. It's a very safe complex, and the beach was wonderful to snorkel on, not worrying about your belongings going missing from the beach, plus there's no one trying to sell you trinkets on the beach. The grounds of the complex are kept immaculate, and there are many friendly people who live there, it's more of a place where there are year round people who live there, and most condos are not used as vacation rentals, so it is a quiet place to relax. There's a couple of very nice restaurants about a 5+ minutes walk away, especially great to watch the sunset over the famous arch. Sunset Monalisa/Jazz on the rocks bar, and the Tompson Hotel. There's a little convenience store on property, where you can purchase beer inexpensively, and large bottles of water, and other things you might need. I've heard you can have the guys at the pool bar cook fish you've caught, which will be cooked well. We will definitely be going back to stay, escaping the cold winters in the PNW. If you love snorkeling, it's a fabulous spot. Remember to bring your gear with you.

Million Dollar View

We loved our five night stay. Very nice beach is easily accessed with a five minute walk through the beautiful, manicured lawns and flowered landscaping of the condo complex. We swam, snorkeled and read books at the beach. We really appreciated the use of beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and small cooler which are included at your condo. This condo has everything you need; plenty of dishes and cooking ware. We did not rent a car. A car is only necessary if you want to go to town or travel the area. We took a taxi to Walmart and bought enough groceries for our 6 days. We planned to eat out a couple of times. Also, there is a small market 100 yards from your condo. Prices are very reasonable. You can purchase drinking water there. The condo has a water dispenser that uses a 5 gallon "carboy" bottle. It costs less than $2.00. There are several restaurants with in a 5 or 10 minute walk. We watched whales every day. Julie provided a pair of binoculars. I would also recommend bringing your own binoculars. That way when a whale is putting on a "show", you and your spouse can both watch. (No fighting over the binoculars.) The temperatures this time of year were perfect. We never turned on the AC or a ceiling fan. There is usually a nice cross breeze from the ocean. You get morning sun on your patio. The pool at Missions is very nice. Comfortable, padded lounges. A second pool at the west side of the complex is wonderful for watching sunsets. Also, very inexpensive drinks at the pool side (swim-up) bar. I can not say enough good things about Julie and her daughter who helped in anyway we needed. They obtained our shuttle to the airport and I was able to print our boarding passes using Julie's printer. Julie is a lovely lady and we enjoyed getting to know her. She wanted to make sure our stay was enjoyable and offered to help with anything we needed. Having a washer/dryer was very nice and laundry soap/fabric softener is provided. It is a "European style" washer/dryer combo. Quite different from our 20 minute American washers and dryers. So if not familiar, make sure you get good instructions from Julie. We have stayed in VRBO's in different parts of the world and this condo is right up with the top ones we have stayed at.

The condo does have the most beautiful view! The pool bar is excellent as well! The hotel right next door called “The Cape” has some nice upscale restaurants The small cafe at NV sunrock was excellent as well for breakfast and lunch and dinner We had a good time We did have some issues with lack of cleanliness at the unit but it would appear the owner and Property manager are working with the cleaning crew to see what happened.

Wonderful time at Misiones!

We had an amazing visit at Misiones del Cabo! Our host, Julie, could not have been nicer and was extremely helpful. She is from the Midwest but moved to Acapulco many years ago to work in tourism (and is full of incredible stories). Here are a few things about the stay: - Misiones is a peaceful resort that is about 6km from the Cabo’s downtown/marina. It was wonderful for us because it was more of a sanctuary than party-central. The pool bar/restaurant has really great food and they’ll even prepare fish that you have caught. - The condo itself is great, but not massive. We spent tons of time enjoying the wonderful view. The pictures show it very accurately. - Ask Julie about her friend Lorenzo. He will take you fishing, snorkeling, and sightseeing for a reasonable price. - If you’re staying for a while we recommend getting some groceries from the Walmart or Costco. Misiones has a small convenience store as well that has most of your needs. (Water, snacks, etc) - If you have any other questions, ask Julie! She is a wealth of knowledge.

View is great, but its dated and could use some updating. Deck has a giant table on it that takes up the entire space. The "beach chairs" they have to use are cheap walmart camp chairs not great for the beach at all. Location is great, close to town. The pillows where all flattened out so you may want to bring your own.

Why they chose this property

This is a quiet complex that is mostly occupied by US and Canadian residents. There is 24-hour security and a gated parking area. The pool area and bar hold social events and live music throughout the week. There are 2 pools in the complex, one of which is heated.
The complex is less than a 2-minute walk from 2 beaches. One beach is perfect to view the sunrise and also excellent for snorkeling and swimming, the other beach is perfect to watch the sunset and also offers great surf if you are a surfer. Both beaches are clean.
There is a small general store in the complex and 4 restaurants within walking distance.
