The cabin was immaculate! The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils and dishes. Pretty much anything you might need. Really appreciated the Keurig machine. Their list of what's available at the cabin is accurate. Mary Beth is quick to respond to questions you might have. I would recommend this property.

Very comfortable cabin, nice panfishing off the dock, quiet and we got to watch some bald eagles up close. Pleasant, comfortable seating areas all around. The cabin is stocked very thoughtfully with anything you might need--it's evident the host has put a lot of effort into making sure your stay is perfect. I'm not sure there are chairs for the firepit area, so might want to bring those. The water access is quite steep. The upstairs sleeping is probably best shared by a family unit or close friends due to access to the bathroom. Overall, very clean and very comfortable, easy and well set up. We took a short drive to Straight Lake State Park for hiking.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cabin had everything we need needed. Lake was quiet, saw the eagles and a hawk. The only negative I would add is the stairs in the cabin are too steep. Bringing the laundry down for the housekeeper shouldn't be the job for the guest. This is the first time we have ever had to do that at a VRBO.

Thank you for the nice review, Heather! We appreciate your feedback. Just to address a couple of your comments: We do state in our property description that "shiplap log stairs to basement have a sharp incline. Recommend going up and down like a ladder." Of course, you can always walk out the door to the deck, walk down to the outside door to the basement, and enter the bottom floor that way, avoiding the stairs. As for carrying the bedding to the washer and dryer, we have included this request in our check-out instructions for the last 7 years that we have had the property available on VRBO. No one has had any comment about it to date, but of course, if there is a mobility issue that precludes this courtesy, we totally understand. Thank you again for choosing to stay at our cabin and for taking the time to provide a thoughtful review.

What a cozy cabin, well-equipped, and a gorgeous view over the lake. Deer passing through the yard, and a pair of eagles perching right outside the sunroom. Beds were very comfortable.

I wish we had booked a longer stay! Enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the lake in the morning, watched eagles from the living room window and saw beautiful sunsets from the dock.
