The Space:
This home features 2,612 sq ft and is a ranch-style home set on a private lot along the east shore of Upper Scott Lake. It has 75 feet of private lake frontage, a spacious lawn, and a fire pit perfect for evening gatherings right in the middle of the backyard. This retreat offers the best of both relaxation and adventure. While the home sits back from the water’s edge, you’ll have access to a private dock and swimming area, making it ideal for lake lovers. Inside, the great room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking lake views, a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy lounge area with leather seating and a 55” HD TV, and a dining table large enough to accommodate up to 12 guests. The rec room is a haven for entertainment, featuring pool, air hockey, and foosball tables, plus a second media lounge with another 55” HD TV and plush seating. And new for summer 2025, we've added two king beds only to this home! This means we can now offer king, queen, and twin bed options all within one home!

Step outside to the lake-facing deck, where two large dining tables provide seating for up to 16, or enjoy meals in the screened porch, complete with a ceiling fan and a 7-piece dining set. The XL Titan park-style charcoal grill (new for spring 2024) is ready for cookouts, making this the perfect spot for summer barbecues.

Whether you’re here for swimming, fishing, or simply unwinding by the fire, Heron’s Landing is the ultimate lakefront retreat for up to 16 guests.

About the host

Host profile image
I was raised in southwest Michigan, in the Grand Rapids area, and I have always reveled in the natural beauty to be found here in our Great Lakes State. I just love being near the water, so any chance I get to be near a lake is a perfect opportunity for me to relax and unwind. I hope you get to know our beautiful state when you stay with us, because to know it is to love it!

Why they chose this property

I was immediately drawn by the natural beauty of the lake and its environs — not to mention the extensive outdoor activities and peaceful surroundings. Since then, I have made it a priority to spend as many summer weekends in the area as I can.

What makes this property unique

This home was conceived and built specifically to cater to large groups and families who want to escape the mad rush of daily life and spend time growing closer to one another while experiencing all the tranquility and enjoyment that "life on the lake" has to offer. We have worked to provide a balance of comfort, functionality, charm, unity, and fun throughout our home and grounds. We even designed our outdoor spaces to provide maximum opportunities for gathering together to enjoy good meals and good conversation. We sincerely hope that the breathtaking lake views from the great room and lake-facing deck will inspire and astound you as much as they do us. We love creating welcoming spaces that draw you in with their charmingly decorated rooms designed with great care, and our greatest desire is to see you return year after year so you can continually create memorable moments with those you love.
