Two sisters and one friend stayed at this lovely cottage while exploring Acadia! Place was decorated with a loving touch and everything needed for comfort and enjoyment. Communication with the owner was easy! The nearby town was a plus! Would definitely stay here again!
It was a nice stay, about a 30-35 minute drive to Acadia/Bar Harbor. Only thing to note is that only the living area had AC so the upstairs bedrooms got a bit warm.
We had a fantastic fall weekend. The host was gracious and gave us perfect advice for local dining and hiking. The cottage is well appointed with everything you could need. Charming decor. True New England!
We loved staying in this cottage. It was cozy but also spacious, and the architecture and decor were both beautiful. Everything was clearly labeled and easy to find. We would come again.
Nice house but too many rules and many trip hazards.
We enjoyed our stay in Tremont as this location is close to the Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor where we spent our days exploring the scenic areas, wWe shops and restaurants.
What a gorgeous house! Beautiful decor, super comfy beds, you feel like you've stepped back in time while still enjoying all the comforts of the modern era. Perfect base for our Acadia trip. Host was responsive and attentive. We didn't want to leave.
This cottage has such lovely touches and nooks. Every way I looked, there was always something unique to appreciate. Our family only stayed for one night, but it was wonderful. I would recommend to others who are traveling in the area.
This cozy cottage was a great home base for all of our adventuring on the island. We really liked being on the “quieter” side but not a far drive from everywhere else. Kitchen was well stocked and home had virtually everything we needed. Beds were comfy and the house was very clean and nicely decorated. We had 3 generations staying in our group, and the rooms/setup was great for us. One upstairs room had 3 twin beds, so it was perfect for our teens to have their own beds and space, the other upstairs room for parents. Grandparents in the main floor bedroom attached to full bathroom. We did have to fold up a few rugs due to trip hazard for grandparents, but was easy to do. Wish the checkout time was a little later than 10 am for some extra time with the checkout tasks and packing up.
An adorable cottage, cozy and plenty of space for a family of 5. Very clean and comfortable, and very well decorated. Also well stocked with spices, kitchen supplies, etc. responsive owner. Great outdoor firepit area. It was a little farther to bar harbor than we expected, but there are some trails a short drive near by if you want to get out for a walk. We had a great stay. Very clear directions provided throughout the cottage.
We loved our stay in this cottage! It is so charming and well stocked. We made sure to spend one night in so we could really enjoy it.
I would advise taking advantage of the wifi at the house and jotting down directions to where you want to go. I didn't have much cell service on Mount Desert Island, but worked great at the house. Thank you! We hope to come back.

Cute little Home
Cute little Home with lots of Notices to what you can do and not do in the Home. We enjoyed our stay. The reason I give a 3 is because of all the trip hazard rugs piled on top of each other. The rugs were dirty. When following the check out guide and I saw the BedBug spray I froze in place. So we took extra precautions when getting home just in case. Overall it’s an adorable little Home 30 mins from Bar Harbor and Acadia NP!!
Check in was very easy. The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for us. We didn’t realize until the second day that the Bass Harbor Head lighthouse was right down the road. We had to check it out the morning we checked out. Checking out was also easy.
Very accommodating. Great info in book. TV hard to determine how to work. Lots of room. Day bed in living area nice to have but uncomfortable for sitting. Nice area on porch. Overall great experience.
This quaint cottage was charming and well-appointed. It was cozy and we liked the various spaces to read and eat. While at the corner of two roads, it was very quiet and peaceful, with plenty of parking. The cottage works well for people who are close. We stayed with our two adult children and their spouses. We did not realize that the second half bath is attached to one of the two upstairs bedrooms, so one couple could not access it without entering their sibling’s bedroom. Stairs are steep to go down to the lovely first floor full bath, and that bath is not sound-proof to the adjoining first floor BR which made our kids hesitant to use it during the night. We had one issue that the owner tried to address but it’s hard to fix. Yellow jackets were getting into one of the upstairs bedrooms. We found many dead on the floor and under the bed when we arrived and a few still alive and more came in at night. We used the room-hesitantly- the first night before knowing more came inside. The second night the couple used the comfortable day bed in the living room. The owner was very responsive and graciously generous about arriving early (it was raining and we asked if we could come a tad early.)

Why they chose this property
Traveled to Maine with my children and friends! Started vacationing in Maine 20 years ago. Came to Southwest Harbor to sail! Best friends have a large Hinckley sailboat. Maine is the best place for sailing. My favorite spot on the Island is Bass Harbor. Best sunsets on the island. Great access to the ocean and harbor. Being on the end of the Mount Desert Island is truly a magical experience.
