About this property

Hillsdale Spacious, comfortable home

My house is close to Hillsdale shops, bus lines, 10 minute drive to Downtown Portland, 2 miles to Veterans and OHSU Hospitals. Walk to the Library - Hillsdale bakery, Starbucks, ice cream store, game store, over a dozen restaurants, food carts. You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, the convenience and people. My house is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Tesla Electric Car Charger on premises. The living room has a Roku TV, a sofa and 2 reclining chairs. If you have questions about the size of your group please contact us. The gourmet kitchen has most everything you will need. To entertain you there is Roku TV, free Wifi and a large collection of board games, and some puzzles.

Due to allergies of resident only non-shedding dogs allowed on premises. I live with my father in the lower floor that has a separate entrance. There is soundproofing between the floors to prevent us from bothering each other.

Huge house, lovely location
We were looking for a single level home in a quiet neighborhood in walking distance to a cafe, a bar, and a few shops. That is exactly what we found! The home is much bigger than the pictures suggest. I loved walking to Gigi’s cafe, the little brewery, and the nearby trails. It was also perfect for my elderly uncle who was staying with us: no steps. Close to my daughter at Lewis and Clark, and a short drive to downtown, Sellwood, and the Japanese Gardens. Everything great about Portland without the trash or traffic.

A Lovely Stay in Charming Beaverton
We have an annual friends get-together and we have found this rental to have everything we need for a lovely weekend of card playing. Overall a great stay well worth considering with good bedroom options, a well organized kitchen, a peaceful alcove in the back with views of the forest. Great communication with the listing owner. This is our 2nd year in a row and we’ll be here again next year!

About the host

My name is Ryan, I recently graduated college. I enjoy tutoring math, intelligent conversation/discussions, gaming, exercise. My family owns this big wonderful house. I live in the newly remodeled daylight basement, which has a separate entrance, with my father. Because my father has terrible allergies we have special filters on the house. We are fortunate to not be allergic to our friendly standard Poodle, Corky. We all love action movies, nature, reading and good food.

Why they chose this property

My parents purchased our Hillsdale home in 2013. At that time only the upstairs was finished. My parents and I lived through remodeling the backroom that has many purposes (game room, queen size murphy bed, laundry, sun porch). They also remodeled the daylight basement where we live now. We decided to make it a vacation rental as our location is amazing!

What makes this property unique

The neighborhood is older homes like ours and people use our street for walking and riding bikes. It is so close to over a dozen amazing restaurants and parks. During the summer there is a farmers market just down the end of our road. We recently remodeled the daylight basement. We put in some major insulation so we can't hear our guests except for hard shoes and everyone tells us that they find our place to be very quiet.

The property also includes a Tesla Charging outlet in the garage
