Peaceful property in the countryside

La Grange was a lovely place to stay. The house is set in peaceful countryside, but within a short drive of Bayeux. The Normandy landing beaches and Caen are also close by. Anne-Francoise was very welcoming and we had everything we needed for a comfortable visit.

This property is far enough away from Bayeux and Port en Bessin that you can see pheasant and rabbits about. Yet close enough that you can easily drive to either in 5 minutes. We loved the quiet mornings and waking up to bird song. Host provided detailed instructions prior to arrival. A beautiful property.

If you are going to be needing a place to stay anywhere near this area, take the opportunity to stay here! It's peaceful, beautiful, comfortable, and plenty of room for 4 people. You will need pantry items if you're going to cook at the house, but all dishes and cooking utensils are there. A++

Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaar. Leide ons rond en stond voor ons klaar. Huisje is ruim en voldeed aan de beschrijving en foto's. Heerlijk stuk grind en gras voor het huis om te zitten. Complete inrichting om zelf te koken. Port du Basin vlakbij leuk om te winkelen en lakker uit eten te gaan.

Ideal Normandy Gite

Very nice comfortable and quiet country Gite perfectly located for visiting the D-Day beaches and museums, as well as Bayeux. We had an excellent stay!

Endroit chaleureux et sympathique

Nous avons bien apprécié le gîte qui est spacieux et très propre. Nous y avons passé 4 jours en octobre. Le foyer de bois très fonctionnel a été un plus à notre séjour . L'environnement extérieur est bien entretenu . Les propriétaires sont accueillants et sympathiques. Je recommanderais ce gite sans hésiter.

Saubere, gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung.

Sehr ruhige Lage in interessanter Umgebung, freundlich zugewandte Vermieter. Große Rasenfläche vor dem Haus. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und konnten viele Fahrradausflüge von dort aus machen.

Bel endroit bien situé

Gîte très calme, très fonctionnel, très propre, bien équipée avec tout le confort mais un Wifi très instable. Les propriétaires sont aimables et toujours disponibles. On nous a même offert une bouteille de cidre à l’arrivée. Beaucoup de guides sur les plages du débarquement et l’ensemble de la région. Un endroit exceptionnel pour les amateurs de l’histoire de la Seconde Guerre : Pointe du Hoc, les plages du débarquement, Caen, Bayeux… Aussi de charmants sites : Château Fontaine-Henry, Cerisy, la magnifique tapisserie de Bayeux… À recommander sans réserve.
