Luxury in the Pines, 5 mins to NAU, 10 mins to downtown, Dog with approval
This beautiful newer detached townhome is less than 5 mins from NAU & 10 mins from historic downtown Flag, yet seems like it is in serene seclusion, miles away. The home is in a newer residential community, on a corner lot backing up to Coconino National Forest on two sides. A perfect getaway to just relax and watch the variety of birds and other wildlife that visit the backyard forest or to hike and/or bike the extensive Flagstaff urban trail system “FUTS”. Trails are throughout Flagstaff, including one just steps away right outside the home’s sliding back door. Inside amenities include foosball, ping pong, air hockey and various board games. Even bicycles are available for use. The home is also a perfect base camp for so much northern Arizona has to offer, with convenient access to both I-17 and I-40.
The home, and full kitchen, are completely stocked with every essential needed for your stay. Plenty of dishes, cookware, utensils, misc pantry items, towels, bedding, paper products, shampoo/conditioner, soap, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, etc are provided. Just pack some clothes and foodstuff and you will be all set for your visit. Note that longer term guests might need to restock some supplies during their stay.
Note: No Parties, No Street parking, No Smoking and No Fireworks permitted at any time. Also, please note that Flagstaff is a Dark Sky city and there are ordinances regarding outdoor lighting which affect the night sky/star gazing. The property was better than advertised, in fact the photos to not do it justice. Location is a fantastic corner lot backing up to forest on 2 sides, and felt actually secluded and not just in the middle of a neighborhood. Everything was extremely clean and well-though-out by the host. Plentiful towels and linens, helpful notes in the right places in the property, games included were in great shape, everything worked, great decor and design choices (my interior designer wife approved) etc. Host was communicative and understanding of an error on my part with my pet. Overall, exactly what we needed. Will 100% stay here again. Thank you!
Everything about this property was PERFECT! Scheduling was easy. Access to the property was well communicated and flawless. Everything in this home was carefully thought out and made this a very memorable stay. Stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, and everything you need in the kitchen. GREAT HOME, WE WILL STAY HERE AGAIN WITHOUT HESITATION!!!
The property was perfect for our needs. Our family was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Great view of the woods behind the home as well. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home!! It was clean, comfortable, and the owner did not miss a beat with providing the little details that make this a gem!!
The house is beautifully decorated and in a wonderful setting. It's a very quiet neighborhood, other than the occasional barking dog. If you love to watch wildlife, we had deer, squirrels, chipmunks and a myriad of birdlife visiting the back patio. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. Also, the owner was quickly responsive to any questions or concerns. We would definitely stay at this lovely location again.
My family loved this home. Great backyard. The corner lot made the house seem very private. The owner was very communicative and helpful. The later checkout time was also greatly appreciated.
We love this gem of a place! Liz is a wonderful host. We stay here every time we come up to visit our college student. The home is cozy and quiet with all the amenities we need. We love the backyard that has tons of wildlife to watch. 10/10 rating.
We enjoyed our stay at Liz’s place while attending family weekend for NAU. We loved all the birds, squirrels and chipmunks in the backyard. The home was cozy and had everything we needed.
The property is beautiful and comfortable and incredibly well stocked. Liz, the owner, could not have been more responsive and easy to
deal with. We very much enjoyed our time there and would rent again.
Beautiful, comfortable and quiet home with all the amenities needed for a wonderful getaway. We were able to do day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon while coming back to the most relaxing atmosphere. The owner is quick in responding, check-in is seamless and checkout is simple. Would highly recommend and our hopeful to return.
Fantastic getaway! Beautiful house, quiet and pics don’t do it justice. Had the best time a d when we come back to Flag, we will definitely look for availability here first!
The house backed up to a national forest and had hiking trails everywhere. The house itself was very well stocked and had everything we needed. Communication with Liz was easy and helpful.

Thanks so much taking the time to write a review and for taking such good care of the house. Hope the next time your family travels to the Flagstaff area, you will consider staying again. Happy Holidays!
Great location, close to NAU, beautiful home, clean, great backyard and private! Love all of the birds and critter watching while drinking morning coffee. Owners were great and responsive...looking forward to our next stay!
This is a comfortable clean home, very well stocked and in a quiet neighborhood. Liz, the host, was very responsive and accommodating. Our family of five, including seniors and an 18 month old, all found our happy place here. Nice trails that can be accessed from the back yard. Would recommend.
Our second time staying here. The property is clean, has great amenities, and has a great view. It is very close to downtown Flagstaff and about a 40 minute drive to snowball for skiing. Owner is great and very communicative. Highly recommend this property.
We were visiting other families in Pine Canyon which is literally right across the street. This is a perfect p

About the host
Hosted by Liz Sheridan
I have lived on both coasts and currently live in Goodyear, AZ. I bought this property as a vacation home and part time short term rental. Since getting divorced a couple years ago, it has been used more as the latter. I love the property and the area and enjoy sharing it as a Vrbo host.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is very close to NAU, town and shopping, yet it is nestled in a pine forest. As it contains townhomes with an HOA, the exteriors are well kept and the front yards are maintained by the HOA.
What makes this property unique
My property backs up to the National Forest on two sides and though it is close to townhomes and other homes, it can feel like it is alone in the woods. Also, it is one of the rare detached townhomes so it is essentially like a single family home.
