The house was very nice and worked great for extended family. Lots of room and activities for everyone. Only slight complaint with the house was the limited hot water for showers for our full group. The host did not reply to numerous messages I sent over the months leading up to my stay.

We live out time at the house! The house was gorgeous and it had everything we needed.While they have bath towels, be sure to bring beach towels, laundry detergent and dish soap. We lacked instructions for the speakers, and the hot tub, but eventually got a hold of the managers, who were soooo pleasant!

The host/house manager was very accommodating. The property had dock construction underway on our arrival so we were given the option of staying in the nextdoor house owned by the same owner. We opted to stay there instead since we had grandkids eager to fish off the dock. The house and surrounding property were beautiful. Provided us with everything we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway. Would definitely stay at either property in the future.

Fabulous place

Beautiful home with everything you could need including a Keurig and gas grill with gas provided. Lovely view and plenty of room for extended family to eat and play together. Its our second stay here and we would love to come back.

Wonderful stay with my extended family for Thanksgiving! It had almost everything you could wish for, we were able to make a Thanksgiving meal with no problem. Communication with Andy was quick to respond and he was gracious enough to extend our check out a bit. Thank you for giving us a place to make more memories!

Beautiful house

This house was absolutely perfect for our group. Susan was extremely helpful during our check in and stay. The house was beautiful and clean. It was a perfect location on the lake with a wonderful dock. Highly recommend this place!

My favorite activity was early morning on the porch. We saw hosts of osprey, 2 eagles, kingfishers, redheaded woodpeckers and even a loon.

We really enjoyed the beautiful, private setting of this property. The view was wonderful, and we spent a lot of our time outdoors enjoying the lake and the peaceful surroundings. The host was also very accommodating, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay, which we really appreciated.Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of some areas of the home, particularly the kitchen. The lining/seal around the kitchen sink had black buildup that appeared to need a thorough cleaning, and because we were traveling with an infant, I did not feel comfortable washing her bottles in the sink. The inside of the trash can lid was also visibly dirty and did not appear to have been wiped down before our arrival. Our baby became sick shortly after our stay, which made the cleanliness concerns especially unsettling for us, although of course we cannot know what caused her illness.The outdoor space and privacy were definitely highlights of the property, and the view was beautiful. There were quite a lot of bugs outside during our stay, but we still enjoyed spending most of our time outdoors.Overall, the host was wonderful to work with and the location itself was beautiful and relaxing. With more attention to cleanliness, especially in the kitchen, the property could be a much better experience.

Original rental had ongoing repairs, so we received a next door location upgrade. New place was great! Had a door access code issue likely due to rental location change, but they fixed it. Added rental of the pontoon was also greatly appreciated. Responsive host and manager.

Family Reunion

We rented this property for a family reunion. We could not have been more satisfied. The property is wonderful and everything we'd hoped for. The privacy, the view of the lake, the house itself...outstanding. We hope to stay at his property again for our next reunion.

Our stay at Wake and Lake was our best summer family vacation ever!

Our family, parents, grown kids and grandkids, thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Wake and Lake. The house is very comfortable with a number of gathering spaces for everyone and comfortable bedrooms and baths for all. We especially enjoyed the private beach, playing on and in the water; floating on rings, fishing, canoeing, and paddle boarding. The fire pit was enjoyed at night. The hot tub was very relaxing. Overall, it was our most relaxing family vacation ever.

Spacious, updated, clean property in a super location

The title says it all. This was a great spot that we'd return to in a heartbeat. Spacious house, nicely updated, with all the amenities you could ask for. Great location on Lake Anna. Communication with the owner and the house caretaker was easy and quick. Very happy with this spot and appreciate the owner's hospitality.

Perfect Autumn setting for Thanksgiving week

We had a wonderful stay at Wake & Lake! The house has plenty of space, seating and is very well appointed with everything you might need. Susan was super helpful and welcoming. We were very thankful for the firewood and fire pit, as we enjoyed that thoroughly. Beautiful sunsets and foliage only added to a very memorable stay. Hopefully we will make our way back some day. Wonderful Home

This property was perfect for our family vacation. The house was spotlessly cleaned, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Property manager Susan and her husband, were friendly and prompt in responding to our questions, and when we ran into a problem with the internet not working, they made it a priority to get it up and running. We really enjoyed our stay thanks to a beautiful home, great location and attentiveness of the property manager.
