Description: Enjoy a beautiful view of mountain living from this rugged timber frame one bedroom condo located in Chalakee, within Echota Resorts. This condo features a covered front entry and rear deck with an amazing Grandfather Mountain view. The view can be admired from the deck or from the large picture windows in the open kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen features custom kitchen cabinetry, granite countertops, hardwood floors, and stainless-steel appliances. It is fully equipped with everything to prepare a meal inside or outside on the built-in-gas grill. The living room is cozy and inviting with a cultured stone gas fireplace, hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and a TV. Stay for a weekend to relax or an extended period and enjoy all the High Country has to offer. This condo is on the bottom floor (downstairs) with an elevator. In case of power outages or elevator equipment malfunctions, the condo will be stair access only.

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

This place is dope! It IS all that the pictures say it is. Furnishings and amenities are superb , communication before/during/after were always on point, the view was incredibly breathtaking. I suggest to install a sign on the balcony "No Smoking" to avoid anybody smoking cigarettes or cigars on the balcony or on the property. Someone who stayed on the same night was smoking on the balcony spoiling my fresh air experience.

The view from this unit is absolutely amazing and was definitely the highlight of our stay. It’s such a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The bed was also very comfortable, and I appreciated having a smart TV in the bedroom.There were a few maintenance and comfort issues that kept the stay from being perfect. It didn’t seem like everything had been fully checked between rentals — for example, the shower knob didn’t work very well, and the fridge ice maker wasn’t dispensing water. The walls are also very thin, and because this is a lower-level unit, we could clearly hear conversations and footsteps from the unit above us.I also wish there had been a smart TV in the living room since that’s where you really want to sit and enjoy the view. Another thing to note is that the large master bedroom window is only covered by curtains, so privacy felt a little limited at times.Overall, the incredible view and comfortable bed made for a nice stay, but a few updates and maintenance fixes would really improve the experience.

We love this condo and have stayed there several times. Easy access, beautiful view, nice kitchen, clean, comfy bed. We are completely happy to just sit on the deck and enjoy the view, but not far from Boone or Banner Elk if you want to go out to eat. Very close to Grandfather Winery.

This location is perfect! Great view of the mountains and you can get to Boone, blowing rock, banner elk, and blue ridge parkway in 30 minutes or less! Wasn’t in the condo for long periods so didn’t get the chance to use any of the amenities. WiFi was a little challenging in the living area but outside of this we would be staying here again!

We arrived and everything was exactly as described in the communication prior to arrival. Unfortunately, there were a couple of challenges that we dealt with. 2 of them we just went on without any management involvement and the other, we had to call management. The first two were 1. the fireplace did not work and 2. the water dispenser in the fridge did not work. For the fireplace, the description in the provided literature provided by management was not specific to the unit, for example the literature said turn the pilot knob clockwise until it is on Pilot. Well, the knob would not turn clockwise. It only turned counterclockwise. And when we got it to Pilot and clicked the button to ignite it, nothing happened. So, on this rainy Memorial Day Weekend, no fire.The water not working on the fridge is pretty self-explanatory. The ice worked fine but the water just didn't.Now, what drove us to call management was that the shower did not work. The shower handle just turned around in circles without turning anything on. Within 10 minutes of us calling management, a maintenance worker showed up and fixed it. We then could enjoy the rest of our rain-soaked weekend. Great area. Great place to spend time. Close to Boone, Banor Elk and Grandfather Mountain.

Long weekend in the high mountains...perfect!

My husband and I needed a getaway. We did things in Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and the Blue Ridge Parkway and this was in the midst of all of them! It was perfect! The view from the porch of Grandfather Mountain was amazing! Foscoe Rentals is top-notch!
