This is a fantastic getaway for a group! The outdoor area was perfect for sitting and enjoying the view and talking. The lake was a little low at the time, but we were in a drought, so it was expected. Host was responsive and kind.

Great vacation spot for a quiet, secluded lakeside getaway!

We loved our stay. We had a group of 8 who slept comfortably and had plenty of room to hang out while indoors. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful getaway just outside the city!

Fun, casual lake house with a beautiful boat dock and huge backyard and patio. We especially loved the swing in the back yard and the fire pit. Neighborhood was super quiet. Host is a great communicator, and doesn't bog you down with lots of chores!

Great family weekend getaway!

We had a family of 11, ages 7 to 70, stay here for the weekend. We had a great time. Outdoor space was amazing for the perfect temperatures we had. We sat on the top deck a lot and enjoyed the views, fished, grilled, and played games. Only issue was the internet. Couldn't get it to connect which was probably only temporary and I'm sure is pretty common on the lake but no big deal. Host was great and very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks, Wes! My family made great memories.

The host was very responsive! Every time I asked a question, he answered within 5 minutes. The outside was beautiful, great location, plenty of room to enjoy the views and outside. I loved the outside bar!! The only real problem was the WiFi. It worked about 7% of the time we were there. We wanted to watch the tv outside at the bar area and the WiFi wouldn’t work. So, we had to use our phone and data. The beds are extremely soft as well. Some people like soft beds, I prefer a firm mattress. Other than those 2 things, everything was great!! I’d definitely go back, especially in warmer weather to enjoy the outside more!!

Lake Life is Bigger in Texas

We visited from out of state for the total solar eclipse. The house has everything you could want for a lake vacation - kayaks, water slide, floaties, some life jackets (bring your own too), and a great Margaritaville bar for the full Buffet experience. There is a large grass area down to the lake, and a top deck over the water for tanning and sunset watching. There's a back bedroom that sleeps 4 and is great for kid-parent separation and accommodating naptimes and earlier bedtimes. The eclipse would have been epic on its own, but getting to see it here with friends and family was truly once in a lifetime. Highly recommend.

Underwhelmed

I have to echo that for the price this property is very underwhelming. The outdoors and lake are beautiful. The property itself is essentially a renovated double wide. Old, musty, very used furniture. Uncomfortable. Paper thin walls. Spiders greet you in the showers. Thin old towels and only one roll of paper towel and one garbage bag for the weekend. Back doors are so warped that they barely open. Not what I was expecting and we have been to may VRBO units throughout the country. This place needs a renovation or a significant price reduction. My kids both said they’re stuffed animals smell like the lake house still, and not in a good way. Sorry.

I’m sorry to hear that your stay did not live up to expectations. Just to confirm, the property is not a “doublewide”. It is a site built home that was built around 1970 and has been added on to since then. It has also undergone renovation in the last few years including the kitchen and both bathrooms. We do spray for pests so spiders are rare, but it does happen on a rare occasion. It is a lakehouse after all. The cleaners are instructed to leave 3 rolls of paper towels so that must have been an over site that should not happen again. I will certainly re-visit the status of our towels to make sure they are more than adequate for our future guests. Thanks for bringing your concerns to my attention so we can ensure a good experience for our future guests.

Fine for a Canton get-away

We stayed 3 nights for a girl’s trip Canton weekend. Host provided good and thorough check-in information, though when I messaged a question through the app he did not ever respond. It wasn’t a big issue though, we figured it out. The house is cute, well decorated, beautiful lake view and neat lake access. The house is older and it shows in some things like the rattle in the ceiling fans, smaller rooms, the need for extra A/C window units to keep it cool, and the lack of outlets around the bathroom mirror (had to plug in hair dryer above toilet which was odd but we made do, not worries). The one thing that would cause us to not look at renting here again was the roach in the kitchen. Can tolerate spiders, roaches are an issue with me. Understand you’ll have more bugs next to a lake house but it was surprising to our party and we avoided the kitchen, definitely didn’t cook while we were there. We enjoyed the large dining table for games and the living room was comfortable. The tables outside were nice for sitting and relaxing the short time we spent on the deck. The check out procedures were simple and clear. Overall it was a good stay apart from the big issue.

Hey Samye. We really appreciate the feedback and are glad that overall you enjoyed your stay. We certainly have taken note about your biggest concern and will address the issue with pest control. The house is an older house but to address your concern about the window A/C units, those were put in before central air was put in. We decided to keep those as back up in case of a central air problem or personal preference for those sleeping in a specific room. We have been through 4 plus seasons and the central air has never had any issue keeping it cool enough or warm enough on its own. As far as the untimely response you your question concerning the type of coffee machine, I apologize. Unfortunately for some reason my initial attempt to reply did not go through. When I noticed the reply did not post and I sent another response, but that was the day after your check in and I’m sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused. Thanks for staying at our lakehouse and we appreciate the feedback.
