Directly on Beach - Great Getaway! Stunning View From Private Balcony!

Frequently watch the dolphins play with your morning coffee or favorite beverage, from your private balcony in #1307 on the penthouse level 1 of Royal Palms. Or, just enjoy beautiful breath taking views of the fall and winter sunrise/sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. Royal Palms is somewhat secluded, adjacent to Gulf State Park, an undeveloped three mile beach. Yet it is still conveniently located in the heart of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach attractions are also within a few miles.

There is the outdoor pool and a heated indoor pool and hot tub, and a steam and dry sauna, as well as a fitness room. A grilling/BBQ area with a picnic table and benches is perfect when you want to eat in. The sparkling white beach is within footsteps of the building, which the private balcony overhangs. There is also a bike storage area if you wish to bring along your bicycles.

The unit has been recently painted and updated with new cabinets, counters and fixtures in the kitchen and both baths. There is new furniture and mattress in the bedroom and new furniture throughout. It has spacious extra high ceilings (only available in select units on this P-1 level of the building, which is the 2nd floor from the top of the building), Queen size bedroom with a private bathroom, 2nd bathroom in hall, alcove bunk beds (great for kids! Not for adults; weight and height limits), and a Queen size sofa sleeper in the living area (also great for kids). The dining and living area contain a flat screen Smart TV along with Cable, and a flat screen TV is also located in the bedroom. There is a collection of card and board games, and magazines provided for enjoyment. WiFi Internet service, a washer & dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen to cook your favorite meals when you are not in the mood to visit the nearby restaurants are other features.
It has already created lasting memories for many (see guest comments section). An exciting and/or relaxing vacation getaway!!!

Good location

Beautiful view of the Gulf from the balcony; easy access to Gulf State Park for bike riding. On the downside: it was dated and could use refreshing; one of the toilets could not be used because of a leak; one morning I was greeted by a roach in the kitchen; the whole place seemed to need a thorough cleaning.

SO GLAD WE FOUND THIS CONDO!

This condo was incredible! It was very clean, had enough supplies to get us start. The kitchen had all that you needed to cook meals when you did not want to go to the many local restaurants. There were enough towels so the only towels that we used of our own were our beach towels. Every morning we would sit on the balcony and watch the dolphins play. The walk to the beach is closer then what it looks like in the pictures and it is very nice. We all enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pools, hot tub and saunas. We can’t wait to come back to this piece of heaven.

Wonderful 4th of July Vacation!!

Property was clean, and exactly as described. We had such a wonderful trip! Location was directly by the state Pier, which unfortunately was not open yet, but also the location was central to anywhere you needed to go. I wish we could have stayed longer!! The 4th of July fireworks were shot off the pier, so we had front row seats as this condo is 2nd floor from the top, so it was spectacular display and we never had to leave the balcony. The only suggestion I would make is to upgrade the TV in the bedroom to one like the one in living room, so that we could log in to apps like Netflix and such. We could never figure out how that TV works in the bedroom, and we usually sleep with the TV going. Other than that, overall a great time and we had everything we needed for our stay.

Stunning view--directly on beach

The view really is stunning and it couldn't be closer to the beach as well as convienient to groceries, restaurants and shopping. I'd love to give our stay five stars but the devil is in the details and five stars should be perfect. We got off to a bad start due to A/C issues but the owner was very responsive and we were cooling off fairly quickly. It was an inconvenience but not really that big a deal. Here's why four stars and not five: light bulbs and TVs. There is only one lamp in the living room and the bulb was burned out. One of the bedside lamps didn't have a bulb in it at all. And there were no replacements anywhere. There is a light in the ceiling fan but a bright glare from an overhead light is no substitute for a lamp when it comes to TV viewing and reading. The TVs are old and should be replaced. We didn't use the one in the bedroom. The living room TV had a bad picture and the speakers were shot. We had to turn the volume up really high in order to hear it but that caused a distortion in the sound. This unit is showing its age and could do with a little sprucing up. Maybe a little paint and some air fresheners? I'd love to return to this complex because of the magnificent location but maybe not this particular unit. Details details details! Four stars out of five is pretty good though. And I would probably recommend to my friends.

Because we love the beach! And, Royal Palms is a nice, well kept building.

What makes this property unique

The view from the condo balcony is unbelievable. It is on the next floor from the top of the building. This Penthouse 1 level has higher ceilings than any other floor in the building creating a roomier living/dining area.

We love the Royal Palms location which is unique due to the somewhat secluded beach area which is much less crowded than the other properties in Gulf Shores.
