Eva's Place

Private 1 bdrm with queen bed. Separate entrance, Kitchenette, ( please note there is no stove) yard, patio with table and umbrella. Futon in living room area that can sleep 2 Children or 1 adult (2 adults if you do not mind being snug). 10 Minutes to Ojai & 15 minutes to down town Ventura and the beach. There are restaurants ,markets, thrift stores, the bus stop and laundromat all within a 10 minute walk from the house. Please note this space shares a wall with. Such an artistic and colorful place! Neighborhood was quiet and convenient to everything. The garden was private and relaxing. A Very inspiring for artists that have not bern able to do much art lately. A very affordable price for such a 5 star stay.

I would rate this as a 3 out of 10. It gets the 3 stars for closeness to Ojai and the beach. There is no air conditioning and upon arrival at 9:00pm, the room was way hotter inside than the temperature was outside. The two ceiling fans and one tiny fan do little to cool the space down. The window screens need replacing as there are gaps for insects to enter. The mattress and pillows are way too soft and the futon is not comfortable to sit on. I left the windows open upon leaving during the day and someone entered the room without my permission to close the windows, so not cool. If the host wanted the windows closed, put it in the rule list. From the description, I thought the unit was a separate cottage from the house. It is not. You could hear the other short term rental occupants in the main part of the house and it was annoying. I left a day early and paid to stay somewhere else to have a comfortable last night in the area. Perhaps this is a better room in the fall and/or winter when no other short term rental folks are in the main part of the house.

As it states in my profile, I do not have air-conditioning! It also states that it shares a wall with the main house. As far as the futon, and the bed, not being comfortable everybody has their preference. I received a no communication from this guest in order to help make his stay better.

It wasn't fancy but didn't expect that. It would be classified as "good enough". I would do this again with Eva. I just need a place to crash and leave some stuff.

My stay was cut short but if you are looking to be close to Oaji or Venture it’s good. It’s pet friendly with a small outdoor area which was nice as I was traveling with my dog.

The place was great for me and my little companion dog . Everything was in fine working order and was very clean. What I loved the most was the very private secluded patio I sat out there with my coffee and threw the ball for my little guy. It was perfect for my needs . Thank you Eva!

The host is very responsive with excellent, prompt communication about questions. She was clear, helpful, and easy to work with before and during the stay.The property itself is comfortable and functional but it's best for two people max or two people with a pet. The second bed is a futon that's not full-length.Overall, it was a smooth stay with an exceptionally communicative host.

Beautiful little cottage

It worked perfectly for our Ojai wine festival trip, close by and she had everything and then some ready for us. You don't need t bring anything except yourselves.

Eva’s Place was great!

Eva’s place allowed us to have a great time in the Ojai Valley. The place was on the small side but very clean and tidy. It accommodated 2 adults, 1 9 yr old and a dog perfectly. The outdoor space was great for our daughter and the dog. It wasn’t high end but was cozy and comfortable.
